RE: Corvette Stingray convertible leaked?
Discussion
I'm a Yank, a Corvette admirer but not yet a buyer. Too tacky an interior and not enough steering feel. Oh, and an OHV engine, no matter how powerful and sophisticated doesn't work for me. Conceptually too low tech and never an admirably free breather. So I've sampled each one but kept with my 997S and predecessors.
This one inches closer but only by inches. Appears too much like the old one, with a rear that is so Camaro'esque that they ought to sue themselves for copyright infringement. And though the motor is yet more evolved, it still has cams in the wrong location, and not enough valves per cylinder. They have fixed the interior, including the seats, and the hardtop does have a bit of Ferrari coupe in it. This convertible just doesn't seem evolved at all. Really a disappointment. And living in CA, I prefer an open top car.
So I'll wait for the C8!

I very much doubt it. Two exits would probably be just as good if not better for gas flow. Those things are 90% aesthetic.
Actually: NO... "Z51 buyers can opt for the third-gen version of GM's variable-damping Magnetic Ride Control and a louder dual-mode exhaust. The base exhaust system's dual-mode tuning will mask four-cylinder operation."
They are fully functional dual-mode exhausts, so either inner or outer ones working...
Surprised none of the Vette owners made a remark on this before, tbh...

Glorious looking thing from the front, a bit of a mess from the rear and just two single exhausts would have been ideal. Way too many odd lines and angles going on at the back that make it all look a bit messy.
I just hope they haven't tinkered too much with that delicious V8 noise. Now that would be a step too far.

I'll get one, but to be honest I'll be gutted if they do a RHD one, they'd be everywhere, I like my vette's few and far between. Another 6 C6's to be seen around cheshire in the next month, bah! :P
My sentiments exactly. I have no problem driving LHD. And for all the "poor"drivers that can't adapt to LHD then it makes it better for us that can. As we won't see to many on the roads.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
