"more than a hint of the noire", "a name that alludes to something more menacing; a nimbler, caliginous foil to Ghost and Phantom's stately presence" and the promise that "Wraith alludes to an almost imperceptible but powerful force, something rare, agile and potent, a spirit that will not be tethered to the earth."
For their sake, I hope these PR copywriters start writing this guff after a heavy liquid lunch, tongues firming in cheeks, hoading each other on to make the prose even more ridiculous on every draft to much applause and pished up laughter.

If they do it with a clear head and actually think it's good, I worry for their long term sanity.

I can't wait for the teaser videos of the rear wheel arch sound deadening panels and hopefully the wiring behind the dash.

Snap. It's where I have finely honed my opinion that some of the dullest people with money are the lawyers and accountants.

Where lawyers and accountants take their money the party dies. But, money they have, they are also ubiquitous and relatively recession proof. So build boring and sell sell sell. biggrin

The closest modern thing we have, but still can't even hold a candle to that Rolls.

It's not official, so there is hope. But the reality is that it's almost certainly not going to come back. As far as I'm concerned, it was the best looking 2+2 in my lifetime.

RR has emailed me a teaser link where you have to move the mouse over smoke to reveal brief glimpses of the car. The car looks amazing, but the launch would be soooo much better without all the rather embarrassing and pretentious marketing guff.

Note to RR - the car will stand on its own merits. Have confidence in that, ditch the hype and just launch the car in a civilised manner.

Unless I've been out of the loop for too long- isn't roller a BMW subsidiary still? If so Sadly, (as much as I'd love to see an imposing art deco rolls as imagined in previous posts) I'd put my money on something resembling a tweeked and reworked 7 / 5 series with a 100-200k price tag.

Would love to see something bespoke and beautiful though- but I'm pretty certain it will be aimed at the nouveau-riche & eastern "bling-bling" markets.

This is the original Wraith, right?

So, would it follow that shape do we think? Maybe something like this?

Its a terrible photoshop, but the best I could find.

That looks like a completely plausible rover 75 shooting brake concept.
