Might be worth waiting till Friday when the winners are announced before asking that question.
I'm hoping I win, no money to change car but finding hot hatches are now affordable to insure. Deisel mondeo is boring me to death now and I've only had it 6 months.
Best of luck all,I'm hoping I win, no money to change car but finding hot hatches are now affordable to insure. Deisel mondeo is boring me to death now and I've only had it 6 months.
I am currently being very bored by a small hatchback (it's not even a tepid hatch, very sensible... big Huge yawn), been promising myself a Porsche 944 since I was a kid (well early teens), so far I have unable to justify one.
Also if I do win, it is an excellent excuse to buy more tools, a 944 must be too low to do an oil change without getting it off the ground, so I will need to invest in some new ramps. Just buy the car for me, I will buy tools its a 25 year old car, how hard can it be to fix...

Roll on Friday... Feels like a long time since I entered
Doesn't it just. I know I'm not going to win but I can't wait to find out that I've won.Now that I've found Leon cupra R's are cheap enough to ensure I think I would prefer the second prize. I prefer the look of the older 225 so 5k would be enough for a good'un.

No, 2CV is just pulling your leg.
Garlick has said in another thread that they did not expect the volume of entries so will announce the winner on another date that has yet to be confirmed. They want to take time reading each one so not rush decision can be made.

So why have the team not announced the delay in publishing the winner on the site?Garlick has said in another thread that they did not expect the volume of entries so will announce the winner on another date that has yet to be confirmed. probably because all the whingers/moaners would congregate with such mass it might stop the internet. Fair enough it is a freebie, i just hope the winner is something interesting, not a grey German diesel. It would be nice, and courteous, Piston-Heads, if you at least put something on your site, regarding a competition you've initiated. It's not right to announce a competition/closing date/winners announcement date and then not stick to it - especially not to at least say something, some kind of explanation, on your site. Leaves me feeling somewhat 'scammed' personally, like PH are just attracting people to their site (& adrian flux) without adhering to a competition they have promised. Ummm. I really want PH to succeed with this - I hate Autotrader having such a monopoly on the web 2nd hand car mkt, but this aint a good start of my experience with PH so far....or adrian flux.

I completely agree! I'm not sure that Adrian Flux would want to be associated with anything which looks this dodgy. Fair enough it's a free competition but the amount of publicity and email addresses Adrian Flux have gained should not be underestimated.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
