I went out for a play, learned a new technique for drifting a FWD car (turn in, handbrake on, power on), seemed to work well, then I set about finding the biggest hill in Nottingham to get up.

Good to see PHers responsible enough to clear the snow from their vehicles before going out for a play. Good effort, shame more people couldn't do the same.

I just went to the local shop and back on Friday. It's the second year I have had winter tyres on my E91 and my first opportunity to test them. I have to say I was deeply impressed and arrived home unduly happy for somebody who had genuinely only popped to the shop. Sorry there was zero hoon content in this post ...

My thoughts exactly - I really wish I had a car with weather like this so I could add to the thread. smile

Quattro, winter tyres, a V8 engine with traction control switched off and Norfolk's country lanes makes for some entertainment. My only constraint is ground clearance in deeper snow paperbag

I am jealous. Been stuck in germany for the last two weeks with no driver training certificate so not allowed to play. Off to Romania on Monday. Same scenario. Enjoy it guys. Doesnt matter what car as long as its rwd or 4wd you'll be a superstar!

Sorry, mate, but what was the point of that video? You didn't do anything... Also, how have you made an M3 sound like a crappy corsa?!

Went for my first run in the snow today and I'm pleased to report that I didn't get stuck and wasn't killed to death, despite being challenged by a very steep hill and many twisties smile

The hill mentioned above was great fun! The snow was much deeper than in the pics and there was lots of unintentional drifting around pretty much every corner bounce

I also passed several so called "off - roaders" doing approximately 2mph. Must admit, I had a small chuckle to myself at the terrified expression on the driver's faces as they went by hehe

Was fun in mine, but took a bit of effort to get it to slide even slightly with its Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme tyres on!

Forgot how much fun the E36 was with the traction control button switched off - in an empty Comet car park I should add.

The X - Type was quite dull & boring in the same car park a little later.
