So is it a V6 like it says in the article, or is it a 4 banger like it says in the tech specs at the bottom?
It is the PRV V6 engine. Various specs used by Renault in the 25/Safrane but this version was taken from the R25 turbo where it had around 182bhp.I wonder whether RHD Venturi's are now more common than surviving RHD R25 turbo's?

Why take this instead of an Esprit?
It might start in the morning? Why take anything OTHER than a Porsche 911? People like variety.
I used to know a bloke who worked for DEC in Switzerland who had a Venturi of some sort and used to rave about it's handling.
I have driven a GTA and that was very enjoyable.

ive always liked the MVS venturi although if you see more than 1 a year even at a car show your doing well. Perhaps 5 yrs since ive seen one on the road. £14k peanuts for such a rare car and its aged well in the looks front. more interesting than a Maser 3200gt, I would say its a buy!
Le mans 1993. From a distant and hazy beer addled memory, 3 transporters full of the 400s for the Phillipe Charriol trophy, which was the exhibition race before the main race. It was a gentleman drivers race which basically like watching expensive banger racing. There were loads of them smashed up, and if memory serves, a couple then competed in the main24hour. One was bright pink.
Great cars. Great memories

I miss mine terribly. Few people knew what it was. Trouble was even fewer knew how to work on it. Awesome performance and it felt faster than my Ferrari 456 which replaced it when the kids arrived. Alas it is now back in France where a company called Extreme Limite staffed by ex Venturi guys know what they're doing with them. If you can speak un peu French and want a car which will make you grin all day long, buy one...
Fantastic looking things....
I remember seeing one in southern France in '88...on the way to Italy....
The next time I saw one was when I lived in Jersey... Always in the same car park in St Helier (muti storey)....Burgandy iirc..
The later GT always reminds me of the run-out De Tomaso Pantera.....Stunning!!
