Ok this is my car folks.the author of this article needs glasses.it is a V6,and does NOT suffer cam wear as suggested unlike the 24V engine .
Parts are quite good to find apart from the original rear lights which are as rare as hens teeth !!!!
It goes round corners like you would not believe and has made me think i will never go round this bend at this speed (But believe me it can )

What are the original rear lights taken from? Can't help but think the originals look better (sorry paperbag )

They look like E21 BMW 3 series...

I remember these from playing Gran Turismo 2 but have never seen one in the metal. The 300 Atlantique was better looking imo
Yes! I love these cars. In my top 20 garage for sure, rare as hen's teeth and utterly gorgeous.

VBH's review of one, way back when.
Cant stand VBH, slept her way into a career in front of the cameras..

This was a PHer's car. It represents the entire rhd production run of 400GTs.

There was a thread on a Renault forum two or three years ago, where a guy said his Dad bought that car like this as a wreck for 5K! It was then sold on and repaired.

I can squeeze a bit more out of the lump if required ...2.5 or 3l turbos PRV's are very lazy lumps but with good torque .

Was this originally on an S plate? This was the pre-Peugeot engine i assume? I wonder if this was the same car!
No it was an R plate supplied by Nick Mee the Aston man. I think it had the plate VGN 1 for some publicity shots presale. He tried hard to get these cars the recognition they deserved and there was a write up in Car where it came out well against the 911. My car (single turbo) was thought to be a unique colour - a Rolls Royce paint sort of metallic grey with a hint of copper, but my wife used to say it was brown. Turns out there was another one which went to the Far East. For those interested there is a Venturi marque history by Pierre daubrosse. The interiors are indeed very nice - the seats were great and the Mercedes sourced wiper was a hoot. There is a small but enthusiastic UK group who are very nice people real car guys.
YES! I have a picture of your car somewhere, we were considering the franchise and had your one for a week for evaluation so i recall. That was a nice car, apart from the wind noise/squeal at around 155/160mph...... wink

I stand corrected on the S plate, that was blue model with the Peugeot V6.

This thread has fired my imagination.

I always thought I knew a ridiculous amount of useless information about cars, mainstream and obscure, but never even knew these existed.

Clearly I need to up my game.

I would be all over these in Classifieds right now pretending I was in the market. If the classifieds section was actually not still broken.

Ahem.
