I was always saying my dads Nissan note needed some more power, wouldn't want it looking like that though!

At the launch of the Nismo Juke in Japan they had a preview of a Nissan March/Micra, so that's on the cards, especially since they also confirmed a Nismo Leaf that was previewed at the same event.

"extra-enhanced Juke variant, which might just end up circuit-biased. Eventually, Nismo is aiming to be the glue that runs right through the regular Nissan range to the GT-R, suggesting a Nismo Note and Micra might even be possible. Although, actually, that rather makes us shudder."

I'm off to go and jump off a bridge......seriously what the hell is going on with the world and the seriously moronic general public driving this tat! Nismo and a crappy Freelander wannabe, Nismo and a crappy Freelander wannabe.....I wish you never even mentioned the Note and Micra. Theres a modified Note around here and i feel so desperately sorry for the young lad driving it!

My experiences of the Joke lead me to surmise that this thing would be a pile of steaming poo.

Nothing I've seen to date suggests I was wrong in my initial assessment.

I bet it's still impossible to get in and out of the back if you're any bigger or less flexible than Beth Tweddle.

I have to admit im a fan of the looks too and package. Only thing That gets me is the size of it. Outside the arches and wheelbase is massive compared to the interior space.

You're so funny, I mean really funny with your 'Joke' thing. I'm kidding, there's no smilie for 'cringworthy'.

It's different, and it's been really well received, and the other variants sell hugely well here in the UK.

Who gives a st - vive la difference! Major hit for Nissan, major hit for non-grey people.

I wholeheartedly apologise for any offence caused. I shall endeavour to ensure that all my future internet contributions are explicitly without any perceived humour or comical intent, especially where sensitive Nissan owners may be involved.

It is different, I'll give you that, and probably vastly better than the alternative which would've been another dull Almera-type thing.

It may suit some, but for me it just misses the mark that the Qashqai managed to hit. Too impractical, too ugly.

actually test drove a regular juke last year, as a possible car for the missus. despite looking like the result of a late night hookup between an SUV and a Goggomobil, it actually handled pretty nicely and, even in base model 2wd CVT spec, went pretty well - was most surprised, in fact. yes, CVT was whiny, but ohsosmooth and having owned an RX-8, I'm used to spinny whiny things in my car (i have kids too). i'd imagine the nismo version would be a hoot.

killer for me was that the trunk (boot to you English types) was smaller than that in my 911. would take about two bags of shopping from tesco. i can carry more on my pushbike....

You either have massive bags or are exaggerating a lot, we can easily get 6-8 bags of shopping in with no trouble, and on the odd occasion we do need more boot space the floor lifts up and can be slid down the back of the rear seats revealing the plastic tray beneath and a load more storage space.

Local sandicliffe (ford, nissan, mazda) had one on the front this weekend.

I have to say, it sort of looks ok.

The normal Juke is a hideous contraption. However, the addition of Nismo badges and trinketry almost give it the excuse to be so. It sort of matches that Japanese manga character thing, like some of Nismo's other creations. In that context, of being a over styled japanese cartoon, it sorta works!
