Has anybody actually tried Project C.A.R.S? It does look nice, but I've heard the physics and handling have a lot to be desired, is that true?

A while back i knocked up a sim racing rig from a spare Corbeau seat i had laying about, a spare monitor and a G25 wheel.

Don't use it much now but it's pretty fun when I find the motivation to get into iRacing. Dirt is also a blast too..

The wood cost me £25, the rest i already had smile

Jealousy isn't the word smile

Owning both I'd say GT5 always feels more realistic, Forza cars seem to have too much grip if AWD or not enough for anything else. Trail braking is too easy on forza and you can clip the grass/sandtrap with no ill effect, to be honest it's rather boring.

Best sim has to be RBR.

Popped my 'Ring cherry (ahem) last year, and a big part of the preparation was GT5. While I still maintained a Very Healthy Level of caution all the way round, I had basically learned the track, at a very basic level.

I'd have thought a normal chair would do as there are no G-forces involved, or does being held in place really help?
