Having had an R35 for 18 months (very quick but dull - sorry), a heavily modified R34 for a couple of years (OSG RB30 with 750+bhp) and a modified R32 (2.7L and 630 bhp) over the years my view............................

Never regreted selling the R35 (bought a GT2 instead),
Fondly remember my R34,
Would have my old R32 back tomorrow if I could!

R35 is a time machine, R34 is an great drivers car BUT for me the R32 was an event and will always be the best!

R33 is the best of the bunch IMO.

They say never drive your heroes....well recently I took an R33 out for a test drive and was disappointed, slow and uncomfortable compared to the evo I had taken out before it.

Different horses for different courses I guess.

living in a big city and working in the centre i see many supercars, rs audis, bentleys etc and they start to become a bit common, but seeing a bayside blue one of these still makes me point and turn into a child! spent ages looking around the skyline owners stand at the pistonheads show. Much much much more want than any other car there

R32 is my favourite
Never was a fan of the r34 could never cope with that rear end it just looks like somebody cut the back off with a disc cutter then threw on a panel of plasterboard and finished it off with some 1980 corvette rear lights,
There all epic in there own right,
Would I ever own 1 probably not
But you never no I might fold for r32 at some point

What a machine! Brings back memories of rushing home from school just to play gran turismo ( and mess up gcse's btw lol). Had the privilege of driving a friends for a few hours and can't forget the experience. Definitely one of the all time greats.

Nope, never wanted one.
I didn't even think they were that great on Gran Turismo either. Racing Cerbera ftw! smile

I remember thinking 'meh' back in the day until I saw one parked outside a shop in the local town - at the time it was far larger than I had imagined with massive presence. The later ones don't do much for me, but these have that 'ultimate jap-tech-supercar killer" thing about them.

Can a TVR even complete a circuit without breaking down at least twice? TVR owners must be RAC/AA best customers smile

Maybe GT isn't as realistic as people think then? Yamauchi san deserves to be told... biggrin

As a fully paid up member of the 'Gran Turismo' the R34 doesn't appeal as much as it should. I may get shot for saying this, but I think the R33 looks far better. I always thought the R34 looked a bit weedy in comparison.

'bit of a barge really but check these pics out , talking of big cars'

Jesus...I've never seen a R34 next to a GTR...that's comical!

I bought a R32 11 years ago and then my dad sent me out to buy a R34 after driving mine. The R34 was an absolute beast and I just loved it for the presence. For driving though...give me my old clunky R32 GTR ta wink (still own it)

I love Skylines, I would literally give an organ for a KPGC10, but after that an R32 would be the next best thing especially in bog standard HICAS toting glory smile

I would argue for an R32 before an R34, because it was a game changer, it dominated touring cars and made everything in that class seem obsolete. To compare it to other road cars of the same class in 1989 would be tragically unfair on the competition. Personally the relatively sober design just adds to the appeal as opposed to the steroidal look of the R33 or R34.

I reckon though that any standard R series Skyline is a cast iron investment for the future. An R32 will be first to rise in value I reckon, however I must admit an R33 or R34 will be close.

I wish I could have anyone of them though.

In fact since I couldn't get a lottery ticket tonight (Snow related frown) could someone get me any form of GT-R Skyline please smile

No? Oh well, guess I'll start saving the £2 coins only 5000 till I can afford a mint R32.
