Lancashire as a whole seems to be completely knackered! Shocking forward planning with regards to road treatment round these parts TBH.

Mrs Barbon Star and her mate are currently facing a night sleeping in their car as the M61 just north of Bolton is impassible! Lots of cold and worried people out there.

Hope you get moving quickly, not sure where you're heading to but should you be passing by Chorley/Euxton/Leyland way I'd be more more than happy to top you up with tea or coffee.

That's a serious offer by the way as I'm so furious and worried about the girl that I can't sleep!
PH is great. Thanks for the offer, really kind of you. We stocked up with food and drink in Edinburgh so fingers crossed we'll be OK.

Hope your lady gets back safely and in good time.

Not moved here for a while.

Until they start limiting public access suddenly. The ones at J27 have gone 'orf' for some inexplicable reason. Nowt macabre going on so dunno why?

It's better than Corrie this is.

WILL Arse get to his destination before sunrise?

DID anyone deploy their flasks of tea and coffee to the masses?

DID the tt near my house give up and stop revving the tits off his corsa to try and get up the hill?

Really appreciate that! Can I bank it? hehe

Hoping to come off at J27 if we can.

The frustrating thing is we did 200 miles from Edinburgh and although it was bad all the way down at least we were moving.
You can bank it, but there are foul-weather-only rules attached biggrin

You've got to come off at 27 now anyway, they've closed everything. I'm sure that the local main roads are in a much better state than the motorway and will be able to cope with the traffic hehe

No problem, I'll pass on the message to the missus. They're currently folding down the back seats of a three door polo in a bid to fashion some sort of horrific bed, so I'm sure all well wishes will perk them up!

If you do manage to get off the M6 and try to cut through Wigan etc take it easy on the A49. Drove about 3/4 of a mile earlier before the state of the roads and the standard of driving on the road frightened me into turning around.

Bet you're glad you had the foresight to stock up. There's even a microwave available if you're getting desperate and need to warm up that Ginsters pasty that looked so tempting in the services haha.

At the Haigh Hall sign! About half a mile to J27.

Trucks slipping everywhere still!

But there's more drama - Mrs Arse can't find her Alpen snack bar.

It's just like the films. Always the woman that slips first. Next she'll say," Arse, go on without me, leave me, save yourself."

Seriously, if you can't be arsed going any further, we're about 2 mins drive off the roundabout. You're welcome to crash here. Well, not literally crash, obv.

I decided to come back from Gibraltar for the weekend and my mum and dad picked me up from Manchester airport. They've got a fk-off big Lancruiser but came for me in the Yaris confused

We spent 3.5 hours totally stationary between the Heywood and Rochdale junctions of the M62. Mental. There were a load of people making a snowman in lane 3 biggrin

In a way I quite enjoyed it - it was an
Interesting experience getting home, that's for sure.

Jeepers that's horrific!

Just moved a little bit, now about 1/3 mile from J27.
