Why didn't they just let you drive the 'development' version - no question as there is a big frikin sticker on the side?
As you guys have mentioned this is better than nothing. But this very uptight british Jaguar PR style reminds me of
This here

I think the back looks great. Better than the front. It's got a hint of the E-type with the design language of the underhung lights - a lineage, similar, but still significantly differnt. Not bad at all, in my opinion.

Been to many classic car racing Events, where there are to-many-to-count recreation E-Types with 380PS at 6800rpm, and they look fantastic, particularly with the rear arches flared to take slicks.
The F-type rear has all of the same briliant "LOOK".

Given how most cars look these days I think this Jag is very good looking.

Preferring a V6 over a V8? Is this Pistonheads?

V8 sounds really, really delicious. But the V6 S/C experience seems that bit more high tech, contemporary and in keeping with the nature of the F-Type.

We'll make a final call once we've driven it!

Ah so this explains the whinging on twitter about not being able to drive the thing. Jag keep doing this anyway, did it with the XFR and the XJ. If only to whet the appetite of the Journo's for when they actually get to drive the thing.

Couple more months ladies!

I'm still torn over the new Jaguar design DNA - it's nice, it's just not Jaguar.

If Mazda were to buy them tomorrow, they'd not need to change anything but the badges (well, that and some of the crazier trim choices perhaps wink)

The back end is horrid! Hopefully its just the colour doing it no favour with thte rear lights blending in. But they have put skinny lights on it and then a span of nothingness till you get to the over the top diffuser exhaust area. Terrible design when from the front it looks so good!

There's a lot of shear effect in the rear end: quite pronounced undercut - it looks better in the metal. Surprised me, how slim and different it is.

Sounds ace! But can't wait for a proper review with an independent journo driving it. I hate all of these passenger reviews, they're pointless!

The E-Type reference I get, it's the additional slab of bumper under that, that I don't. It looks like the top half is going classical and the bottom half has gone modern/aggressive, with an oversized exhaust housing.

"Sounds great until we get to the "8-speed auto". Most of all 911's and half of R8's are Manual's and even the "autos" are clutched versions. They need to get a manual in that thing."

you may be surprised to learn that most new ones sold in are in fact PDK in the case of the Porsche

It has a quick shift gearchange system, changes gear in 150ms, same as a PDK transmission.

Brakes are on the 3.0S 380PS
Front Disc Diameter (mm) 380
Rear Disc Diameter (mm) 325

Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab is £133,663.00 before options

Which is a "Clutched" box not fully auto. Didn't I make it clear that the Target Cars all have Manual And Clutch Auto's? The Jaguar isn't still it looks like they have realised they need to at least offer them

I agree, from the images: they've flattened it a lot. Looks better in real life!

This has probably been done to death; but is it available as a manual?

I'm still 'processing' the looks....

V8 sounds awful, very artificial and 'farty'

Does anyone else hear the similarity between the note they have engineered from the V6 and the straight 6 howl of a MK 1 E-Type?

Very cool

I saw a white one of these parked up not too far from me. I stopped and had a good look around it (sadly I had left my phone at home, so didn't take any pics). A lovely looking thing in the flesh and the interior looks excellent for the price.

If they're not in customer's hands yet, I wonder who it was then. I saw a couple getting into it just as I had got back in my car and turned around.
