This motorcyclist this morning.
Whereabouts was that?
Shooters Hill roundabout between Blackheath & Greenwich Park.
I'm probably being thick, but what is he actually doing wrong?
Only going the wrong side of the keep left island onto a roundabout. Seemed wrong to me!
Am I the only knob who tried for about five minutes to play the video clip?
No. beer

Link to the vid please!
Sorry! I didn't think we needed a vid, but here you are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7InKQCEqzg&fe...

This location? Assuming link works

http://goo.gl/maps/xC0K0

Looks fairly open, but still yikes
As you can hopefully see from the vid that is the location. It is a wide road, but it was also a big bike which then weaved in & out of the traffic on the roundabout.

3 today...

Knob driving a black A5, tailgating, weaving, sharp movements, obviously in a desperate need to cover ground quickly regardless of safety - this isn't a general rant at Audi drivers as the majority seem to be capable of driving theirs perfectly normal manner, but drivers like this don't help the stereotype... cringeworthy.

No.2 the fking old sunglasses-wearing-despite-being-overcast tosspot who decided to park about about 1 foot away from my car, despite it being far away from the shop (Sainburys - sorry but there aren't any Waitroses around Aberdeenshire yet ok?) and the car park being relatively empty - oh no you had to park your crappy Volvo (it wasn't a T5, so I stand by my statement) right next to mine and I saw you resting your rear door on my (fortunately plastic) wheel arch. Sadly I'd imagine any sort of communication/violence etc. would end badly for me no matter what, so I hope my hard Paddington stare cursed you and you choke on your rich tea biscuits tonight. smile

Finally the utter numpty who pretty much threw his/her/its car into the overtaking lane of a dual carriageway, without looking in his mirrors and causing me to brake, then fixed said car there despite plenty opportunity to move over and obviously in no real hurry. Eventually I gave up and passed on the inside, at which point he/she/it just started to indicate left as I was nearly alongside, quick bit of boost and was then greeted with flashing/horn/gestures - possibly indicating that they knew I was there and was holding me up on purpose? Either that or completely oblivious...

No aggression from myself either, no flashing, gestures, tailgating (2 seconds) etc. Unless you count using the right hand indicator as aggressive?

Had knobs 1 and 3 come together I'd imagine it would have been a battle of the century resulting in a fking massive accident/road rage!! punchshootsmash

Perhaps they weren't knobs and it was just me/them being in a the wrong place/time/whatever, or perhaps they're preparing me for when I travel to the Middle East next week? biggrin

Total helmet in bmw 118d, swerving all over the road, talking to passenger.

Passenger then launched a full can of beer in full sunlight, spray covered my dad's van and had to swerve to avoid the can bouncing onto the road. This was all in the middle of a built up area!

The idiot in a silver BMW 3 series yesterday in Wandsworth. My lane is empty his isn't. He starts moving across into my lane. The only thing is I'm driving alongside him!

Don't people check their mirrors or turn their head ever so slightly before changing lanes to make sure that there isn't a car next to them before changing lanes? This seems to be happening more and more - I'm driving next to someone and they start moving across lanes whilst I'm right next to them!

The prat on the A60 today.

Nice straight stretch, Vel Satis in front doing 35 in a 60.

Try to overtake, he wanders over the line, blocking my overtake, twice.

Drop back, another huge gap, knock it down 2 gears, and got past before he knew what had happened.

Park up in Worksop, return to car some hours later, to find a little love letter saying I should be banned for overtaking, when not on a motorway. WTF!!!!!!

Do I have any regrets?

Yes, I didn't get a picture of the note, and balling it up and throwing it on the floor.

To the people of Worksop, sorry for littering.

This. Similarly, this was a while ago but this reminded me, following someone doing a similar speed in a NSL area, nice long stretch, go to overtake, and it speeds up as I'm overtaking meaning I have to either drop back or go faster to overtake. Luckily it was a long straight and I could see but if it was only a short gap it could have been very dangerous. People who drive slowly and think everyone else should drive as slowly as them (baring in mind this was just over half the speed limit, I wasn't even speeding myself) cause way more problems than fast drivers in my opinion (sensible, fast drivers anyway).

Came home with other half Sunday afternoon to find oldish bloke in a big range rover parked at the end of my drive. He was stomping down next doors front steps.
Him (points to car legally parked across the road) "Does HE live here?
Me: I don't know, why? (wasn't a car I recognised)
Him: He does! I've seen him go in here and I've been hammering on the door and he wont answer
Me: Well no, I don't blame him.
Him: He's parked that in front of my house, my kids can't park in front of my house!
Me: (surveys empty street) Not like they are going to struggle to park is it? And I'm guessing his car is taxed and MOT'd so perfectly legal.
Him: (stomps back to car) WELL I"VE LEFT HIM A NOTE!!!

It was most amusing. The street was completely empty, his kids could have parked a dozen cars, admittedly not directly outside his front gate but still. This is a view of street, admittedly from google maps but parking situation was identical :

His front gate is the one with the blue bin in view on the right I add. Also worth pointing out those houses are 3 storey at the rear and he has an ample drive and garage at the back where 'his kids' can also park.

So so tempting to park my shed over there on Sunday afternoon whilst other half washes his car biggrin

That makes it much clearer. Definitely a daft thing to do, even if it was clear it would be an easy 3 points if a copper happened to see it.

The knob this morning, who drove up a slip road marked with enormous arrows indicating that the lane was in fact a turn left only lane, who then proceeded to go straight on, nearly bashing into the nearside of cars travelling in the forwards in the correct straight ahead lane (where he should have been if he intended to go straight ahead)

In theory, he should have seen you coming and anticipated you a long time before, when he periodically checked his rear view mirror to see what was behind him - its what learners are taught to do for their driving tests.

In reality, we have to assume, he has gotten into such bad habits and (through luck or lightening reflexes) has managed to coast about without hitting anyone.

The other day i went to pick my daughter up from her friends house - Both sides of the street had cars parked, there were a couple of spaces that my XJR was never ever going to fit. But then i noticed a space and parked the car accordingly...

Now, the owner of the house i was parked in front of, had converted their entire front garden into a drive - However i was not over the dropped curb at all.

This is where the knob arrives:

Just as i am getting out of the car a black Toyota turns in (as if to hit the side of my car).
I stand there and look at him. He toots his horn and i walk round to his window and very calmly ask whats wrong.

"You're blocking by f@#ing driveway" he says (bearing in mind, also, that there was nothing parked on his drive where the dropped curb led to)

"No i'm not - i have left your dropped curb so you can park there on the drive" I said.

"Just move the F@#king car" was his response.

So I got in my car and moved it..... So it obscured his dropped curb. Then climbed out and let him know that if i came back to find my car in any other state than how i had left it - That it would be very stupid as i knew where he lived. (which i know is a proper knob'ish thing to say).

Picking up my daughter should have only taken a couple of moments. But i decided to walk down the road and take her for some food at the Harvester and then let her play in the park after...... assuming that looking out of his front window every 5 mins and still seeing my car there, would wind him up.

What an utter fkwit. I love the fact he (I assume a he, no sound at work) posts the video of him failing to anticipate another driver on a mini-roundabout as if it was their fault he's a knuckle dragging moron.

Puts a video of him cutting up another driver on YouTube
Puts a video of him accelerating towards pedestrians in the road on YouTube.
Complains about inside overtaking on a dual carriageway.
Puts a video of him driving at ~100mph on a wet dual-carriageway, and nearly losing control.

Someone should report him to the police. wink

i'd like to nominate myself.....

I quite often cycle to work- I live in yorkshire so lots of hills- its a 1000 foot climb or descent overall on my little commute whichever way you look at it.

at about 7.30 am today - whacking down an extremely steep hill- that is almost like a "U"- but there are traffic lights in the bottom of the "U"

lights changed, braked and I simply couldn't pull up fast enough on my racing bike- turns out my front brake had the cam adjuster backed off- so wasn't gripping properly.

I went barrelling through the lights much to several other drivers amusment and probably fear as I looked like I would now hit them.

but i did stop fortunately just shy, much to the amusement of an old chap crossing the road and we had a laugh about my brakes.

I will nominate the old git who nearly side swiped my yesterday on my push bike and the young git in a red polo with a plate that read something like "whamo" or maybe "wh4mo" who can't understand I have right of way on a roundabout if I am there first and am indicating and have already start on, said roundabout and am turning- and you decide to smash right across the roundabout in your grotty little car.

bare in mind fella, you were in a small village and chances are I'll see you and that wreck of a car again. vengence is a dish best served cold.
