One single thing that makes you think "knob" Vol 2
Discussion
The other day, on my commute to work, I was in lane 2 of a DC on the speed limit heading into Leeds city centre. I was approaching a car in lane 1 going slightly slower so I would eventually pass them, the road is fairly quiet at this point however the *knob* in a battered matte black 5 door Corsa B comes up to my rear and decides that me driving at the speed limit in an overtaking position is too slow for him, he then proceeds to pull into lane 1 beside me, as I'm about to overtake the other car, and squeeeeeeeezes through the gap between my offside front and the other cars nearside rear to get ahead of me. Knob.
How far did that get him? Not far, turn a corner oh look, a huge cement truck with no way of getting past, and no matter how hard he tries, I'm still the next car behind him, and I'm sat behind him pretty much for next 10 minutes as we navigate the inner ring road of Leeds.

Approaching the cashier on the express till at Wilkinsons this morning at around 9am. I must have been about 3m from the cash desk, clearly with the intent to pay, when some old Dorris comes running from absolutely nowhere to push infront of me to get served first
Must have saved her a whole 30 seconds since I had 2 items

The wife insisted I "leave it", but I'm sorry i did now, as going unchallenged is what leads to a worsening of this kind of selfishness. Or am I just being a miserable old grump?
no you're not being a grump - the guy was a plain and simple. as is this chap (nicked from the bad parking thread)

A bit of background...
Southwood Pavilion sports grounds, Sunday afternoon. Hundreds (possibly a couple of thousand) local people are enjoying the sunshine, and free 'ringside' seats for the Farnborough Air Show. Many of those present are kids, and between displays or during the 'boring planes' lots of the kids are running about, playing footy/cricket/badminton, or riding bikes/scooters. No worries, so far.
Then, this numpty turns up and starts driving his silly (and illegal) quadbike around the busy field...
...which to me was all kinds of irresponsible and plain ordinary wrong. Apart from the unregistered, untaxed, uninsured aspect, I was more annoyed with the stupidity of it. Racing up and down an adjoining Public Footpath, and not content to confine himself to the outer margins of the field, he was always carrying at least one (unhelmeted, unsecured) child, often two. He even let the older girl 'drive' the damned thing. Never mind the potential idiocy of carrying kids known to him, he was also risking the safety of everyone else's kids, given how kids are inattentive at the best of times, running about on a supposedly 'safe' playing field doesn't usually attract the additional risk of being clouted by an irresponsibly driven, illegal (mini) quadbike.

VED due end of the month. Still no renewal letter. Yes can do it online, but I've got to go and renew my driving licence (they now take a photo in the post office) so would be nice to do it all in 1 hit.
Re your driving licence - if you have a passport you can do your licence online.VED due end of the month. Still no renewal letter. Yes can do it online, but I've got to go and renew my driving licence (they now take a photo in the post office) so would be nice to do it all in 1 hit.
Just fill the form out with your passport details and they'll use the photo on the passport for your licence.
Quick and easy.

The annoying thing in these situations, is that there is usually a lot of other people THINKING knob and also saying nowt (but desperately wanting to).
But, IF they ALL turned round and said 'oi mate, you're a bit of a tosser arent you' then we would have a huge reduction in knobbish behaviour IMHO as people would realise that what they are doing isn't socially acceptable.
It never used to be like that!
3 in one day!
Sat stationary in the left lane of two lanes of traffic, merging into one for roadworks. Pr@t in a black Renault comes steaming along in lane two and cuts in to the small gap in front of me. Narrowly misses me, completely misjudged the gap and rams a woman in a Golf in front. Cue the traffic going nowhere while lady driver gets out and gives him the biggest bking I've heard, all in front of the road diggers :-)
Driving home down a narrow country lane lined by lots of hawthorn hedges. Nearly get taken out by a private school coach coming around a tight 90 bend well over the middle of the road. Drivers head is down and I can see him on his phone! Swerved hard into the bloody hedge and thorn scrapes down the side. Need to get a dash cam I think, so I would have had some proof to go after them, especially as the name of the school was on the side!
Lastly following a big red tipper truck into town, driver fails to realise how wide his vehicle is and puts it into the hedge to avoid oncoming traffic. Large piece of tree branch bounces off my bonnet. I wouldn't mind, really, but I've just pid £300 to have all my paint work repaired after a year of car park and commuting damage. Now looks crap again. My commute to work is down country lanes and this is always a problem. I feel like I should sell my Golf and buy a big 4x4 with crappy paint so I don't mind when this happens. Course you still get the selfish sods who open their doors into you, especially if your car is looking cleaner and better than theirs.

Report it anyway,evidence or not.
Encountered the most angry "angry dad" type I've ever seen. I stopped to let a bus go through, as did the car behind me. Fat, badly tattooed tt in a scenic came blasting past us, only to meet the bus head on. Bus couldn't move because there was a queue of cars behind, so angry dad gets out and tries to fight the bus driver. When he realises the bus driver isn't going to get out, he moves back and starts trying to fight me. Apparently I should have indicated left to show that I was letting the bus through, which is actually exactly what I shouldn't do, as people would have thought I was parking. When I told him this, he got even more angry and said he'd "batter me" (pronounced ba-er, naturally).
I said he was welcome to batter me if he fancied doing it in front of a bus full of people and all the people who'd gathered to watch on the pavement. I think he realised he was being a bit of a tt at that point so he shouted that he'd beaten up skinny s like me before, got back into the scenic and drove off around the bus, via the pavement.
I think he might have won tt of the year: don't think I've ever encountered someone quite as retarded as him in a long while.

I like it when people angrily tell me they are going to beat me up, it lets me know I can relax and don't have to worry about defending myself.I said he was welcome to batter me if he fancied doing it in front of a bus full of people and all the people who'd gathered to watch on the pavement. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.330002,-0.788581... Approaching this roundabout on my mountain bike this afternoon, I wanted the third exit, so positioned myself in the right hand lane as the road widened. The stupid old git in the 'Kiaevrolet' (or some such Korean supermini) behind me took exception to this, despite indicating left. He squeezed in a 'clutch-in' rev fest, and a stupidly close overtake (to my right) before crossing back (almost/mostly) into the left turn lane while still indicating left. I was about to knock on his window to ask what the hell had possessed him to overtake on the right when the left hand lane he actually wanted was completely clear, when he spotted a tiny gap in traffic on the roundabout and obviously thought it was worth the risk and roared off (as fast as his little silver hatchback would carry him). What the hell has happened to the ancient and obviously very confusing art of 'reading the road ahead'? I negotiated the roundabout without further difficulty, and nipped up Woodside and onto Hawley Heath.
An old boy,(looked well over 80), in Mansfield, outside Iceland.
Despite having 2 cars sounding horns, and 7 or 8 pedestrians shouting at him, he drove straight through a red light at a pedestrian crossing, at around 10mph, and promptly parked in a bus stop.
I hope one of the many cameras in town caught him.
I need to get a dashcam.
