I often do. But I'm not convinced it:

a) has any effect on them learning from their mistakes
AND b) it's not very socialable is it. frown

First one you're right, second one, who cares. They need to know they're doing something wrong. There isn't enough horn usage on a day to day basis, in my experience.

Queue jumpers. On planes. Had one today, but the satisfaction I got when he was stopped at passport control for a flagged passport was a hugely nice warm feeling inside.

People who get annoyed when anyone who isn't a bus/cyclist/motorcyclist/taxi dares to use the bus lane in the periods where it is just a normal lane!

People that use right turn lanes to pass queueing traffic and then barge in left.

Boils my piss.

I saw this on the M25 this morning whilst stationary in a long traffic jam. Count the 5 (yes that's right, 5!) hats across the parcel shelf!!! Plus a 'baby on board' sticker plus there was some other little trinket hanging from a sucker on the left of the rear windscreen too. When I crept past later I couldn't help notice they also had a little platic hat hanging from the rear view mirror. WTF?!

Doesn't make him a knob though. A bit strange, of course.

No, you're quite right. I thought he was very strange. But unfortunately there isn't a 'Single thing that makes you think 'what a strange person?'' thread! biggrin

You should start one :P

Today the thing that's making me think knob, are the people who use lame, squished together words. Such as 'sheeple'

The knobber who I was following on some country roads yesterday.

Pinning it on the straights, getting into single digits on the corners.
I was only on my Husky, but he was pissing me right off.

The woman driving her Toyota Aygo that attempted to drive into the carpark of the Homebase store at The Meadows this afternoon.

Only reason being that the store has been closed for a good few weeks now & is very noticeably in the process of demolition, highlighted by the fact it even has a massive black wooden perimeter fence & metal gates indicating the store is well & truly closed laugh

This however didn't deter her attempting to drive through the metal entrance gate, and then, after being challenged by a worker, reversing back into traffic once she realised the error of her ways, narrowly avoiding causing a multi-car pile up.
Not a mistake. She was deliberately trying to get in, to queue for the opening sale of the 'Next' store that (according to my Mrs) will be replacing that Homebase.

People who get up at 5am on Boxing Day, to queue up with 100's of other knobs, to buy tat that they'll never wear, and that the shop couldn't sell in the preceding 3 months? Fallen for the hype? Knobs.

Alongside the increasing number of roundabout 'stoppers' for no apparent reason when the road is empty, are the ones who stop at least 20 feet back from Give Way markings. Yes, stop if you need to, but at the markings, not two car lengths behind them, because by the time you can pull out, it's too late.

Or the old duffer that thinks it's okay to randomly stop on the main road to let someone out from a side road.

It's been mentioned so many times but I have to say it again - anyone who has any variant of a 'Baby on board' sticker should be euthanized for the good of society.

We DO NOT CARE, all it tells us is that you're stupid and quite possibly dangerous behind the wheel.

That you think your not-in-any-way-amazing trick of breeding should somehow affect OUR driving - worse still, that you think it should effect YOUR driving - suggests you shouldn't be driving at all.

On the flipside, there's a special place in hell reserved for the people who position themselves a good few feet over the Give Way marks so traffic on the road they are waiting to pull out onto has to drive around them. Utterly obnoxious

my nomination goes to the Renault Megane convertable driver who last night at 11 ish, decided to drive up the middle of the road. Fine - could put that down to avoiding the potholes at the edges but still. I just opened up the gap a bit more and left them to it. I was not quite prepared for them to then drift back over left, slam on the brakes from about 50 or so and stop half on the verge, half on the road.

Thinking about it now, probably a drunk driver.
