Pretty much every tt on a bicycle or motorbike that thinks its acceptable to be on the other side of the road 'making progress' when there is traffic in London!! and no im not going to move over so you can get through when im doing they acceptable 20/30mph in the opposite fking direction!!

Then you get the 'glare' because god forbid you haven't got out the way for them!

Would love to see what their insurance says when they have a crash on the opposite side of the road!

Pricks!

School run mum in a Discovery.

First thing I noticed was that she was talking on the phone, no Bluetooth in a Discovery?(I know Bluetooth is supposedly just as dangerous).
Second, not too knobbish but a little bit knobbish, her windows were tinted illegally, not something that bothers me really but thought I might as well add it.

Third and final, this is what really made her a knob, in fact pissed me off massively. Her young son(primary school uniform) was in the back with no seatbelt on, in fact he was standing up. As you'd expect she'd found the time and effort to put her own on, but not her son's.

The muppet driving a lorry this morning who decided to try and overtake a car and a tractor (in that order, tractor was at the front), both of whom were doing 30 in a 50 with an appropriate safe gap between them.

Not too bad, you might think. The issue being they attempted the overtake on a straight bit of road so short I probably wouldn't have made it if I were in that position in my car, and it was just before a slight right hand bend, around which a Volvo came and had to anchor on quite hard (I'd imagine) when he was faced with a massive lorry coming his way.

They both managed to stop and the lorry had to move back over into our lane, but it could have ended quite badly.

Let's just hope you don't meet someone equally distracted next time, and end up hurt, eh? Or alternatively, stop using the phone in the car and concentrate on the important stuff, like, you know, driving and suchlike?
She'd just say "it came out of nowhere" and "must have been going like a bat out of hell", because it must be the other driver racing along and not her being on the phone... banghead

The clueless twerp in a black i20 last night on the way home. Coming off the A689/A1 roundabout/junction traffic was toddling along at a rather sedate 40 so took the opportunity to give the ol' dpf a work out and started to overtake the rather short line of traffic ahead of me. Lo ahead the aforementioned i20 pulled out, no problem there... then it sat at roughly a fraction faster than the car it was over taking.

What made it worse is that the dual carriage section is relatively short, the gap between the car the i20 decided to overtake and the car behind that was far too small for me to fit in and we had started to run rapidly out of road and heading towards the chevrons, all would have been completely safely if said i20 driver hadn't decided to fanny about when overtaking (this seems to be increasing in numbers as well, people pissing about when overtaking, if you're going to do it then damn well get on with it!).

You sound a pleasant character. What is so inconvenient for you to move over a tad? Do you drive an Audi btw?

no, he's right, people overtaking often position themselves far too wide, because they don't know how wide their bike is and regardless, a car coming the other way should not have to move over for an overtaker, if a car coming the other way wants to use the entirety of their lane, they're entitled to do so.

I really don't get why this is so upsetting. Ok granted it looks clear and looks like a 30, maybe it's not appropriate at 30, but then 30 is hardly a speed that requires good concentration on an empty straight road.
At 5mph in a queue, (particularly in a Clio as they're a bit cramped, especially for the driver's right arm) you have to be a right tcensoredt to get all indignant about someone wanting to stretch and/or cool their arm, or heck if it's just to look cool, who cares?

A38 this morning.

Come up behind a 03 plate Merc C180 coupe, we're tootling along at about 60mph as traffic allows. I'm a 5-6 car lengths back but get a bit closer as he obviously just lifts off for a short time rather than brakes at which point the arm comes out the window and he waves it around a bit before putting it back in the car. Odd think I but we carry on.

Taffic clears and we're cruising along at about 75 passing trucks etc in lane 1, i've stayed a good 2 seconds back from him. Again he lifts off (no brake lights) and slows to about 60 when there's clear road ahead and just passes a truck slowly. Again the arm comes out, bit of a wave and then he's off back to 75 again. Odder i think and stay back again.

He drops into lane 1 and slows, i'm in lane two still cruising and as i pass get the arm out the window treatment with V's followed by flashing lights.

Knob.

could always pull up alongside and hold his hand. I think he'd retract it back in and wind up the window.

Biker behind me in Redruth yesterday. Repeatedly blipping throttle, I guess to try and spur me into trying to out drag him in my old M3? Obviously missed the traffic Police a few yards further back. As we join the A30 heading towards Truro, he gives it everything and flies past me. As does the traffic car giving chase. Mr Biker must have spotted them, as he swiftly slows and pulls into lane 1, but they'd pulled him over by the next roundabout.

The helmet driving a celica gt4, going by the royal highland centre today undertook our van in heavy traffic missing our front by about half a car then done the same again forcing the van in front of us into an emergency stop.

No doubt would have been a dangerous driving charge had the old bill spotted him.
