You do mean that the person who made that video is a knob right?Yes, definitely a knob, using proportionate when it should be proportional
I agree it's knobbish to pass close (and I will if at all possible pass a cyclist by driving entirely to the right of the centre line, so I support your theory ) but, sorry LK, you're getting a bit overzealous these days and come across as a BRAKE member/holier than thou type and the whole tiny penis thing is just..
Next you'll be making comments about men who drive flash sports cars.

I know we now live in an egalitarian age without oppressive layers of secrecy, but actually showing your gaff might be considered knobbish in some circles (notwithstanding stalker tendencies on my part).

When there's hatching in the middle of a single carriageway with a lane for someone to turn right, but someone doesn't use it, instead stopping their car diagonally across the road and blocking the cars that were following them.
Theres one about 30m before my road on the way home and EVERY day people turn from the passing lane rather than pull into the turning box.scarble said:

I set off 30 mins early as I had to be in 30 mins early. I was 20 mins early.
So he only added 10 minutes to your journey and despite knowing you had to be in at a very specific time, you didn't think to leave any leeway for unforeseen delays? ok.A big well done to the driver of the Renault Traffic who decided that I wasn't going fast enough in the torrential rain and heavy traffic of this evening's northbound A1.
Not only did he undertake me on the hard shoulder he then confirmed his knob status by swinging back into lane 1 and cutting me up!
And his reward for all this effort? He was overtaken by me approximately 30 seconds later and got stuck behind stationary traffic.

I'll apologise in advance, I'm posting about a cyclist.
Some Jeremy Kyle star cycling on the pavement at lightning speeds and actually brushes my arm. Without thinking I called Lord of the Chavs a "fking wker". In retaliation he did the biggest wheelie ever and nearly hit a wall, I wasn't impressed. Then he went on the road to go through a red light and then back onto the pavement again.
If he'd stopped at the lights I'd have given him an earful, I was bloody furious.
What if he'd hit a child or an old person?

Heard this from a chap about the two dumbfks who had a slight coming together and got out and started exchanging details, check damage etc...
seems innocuous enough
But in the middle lane of the M40 on sunday evening!!!!!!!
WTF are these peoples brains made of, and should they even be allowed near a car, let alone drive one

They would have been just as angry, if not more so than you Some Jeremy Kyle star cycling on the pavement at lightning speeds and actually brushes my arm. This kind of nonsensical crap does my nut in. So is my life, as a 30-something male worth less than that of a child or old person?
All over the place people roll out that 'old person or child ' line as if it means something a million times worse has happened.
After some fairly long distances of not seeing a lot, yesterday:
Chap in Fiat who going past Sheffield on M1 in the 2 lane section decided to drop to the hard shoulder to undertake two cars, then shoot across the hatchings to complete the move. I think he passed 5 cars in total. Was it even worth it?
And when hitting serious conditions coming down. Conditions were difficult and its totally understandable to drop your speed to something you are happy with. But PLEASE do not do so in the outside lane of a motorway. Pull left and maintain your safe speed and allow others to continue on!

He said the cyclist brushed his arm, so unless you have eyes in the back of your head, you'd also fail to see him and unable to move out of the way.
I realise they are more fragile but what makes their life worth more than anybody else is the point I'm making.
I do understand the point you are making - but I dont think anyone has insinuated the opposing point of view to yours in the first place.I realise they are more fragile but what makes their life worth more than anybody else is the point I'm making.
Just that they are more vulnerable to injury.
Or, if you wanted to put another possible interpretation forward, old people and children are less likely to chase down and break both the cyclists hands in retaliation. But, I don't think he meant that either.
