Whilst this is true, it is not unusual to see HGV drivers trying every trick in the book to conserve momentum (for obvious reasons but it still doesn't give them carte blanche to be a knob or do illegal stuff like run red lights)
That would be a reasonable point, but the HGV was stationary waiting at the r/bout entrance and deliberately moved off as we approached.
Funnily enough this just happened to me this morning and I've got it on Dashcam ... will post later smile

There are as many bad cyclists as bad drivers. I wear a yellow jacket, have blue and orange trousers, a orange and reflective bag with home made sign on the back...

Here we go...my copy of the Highway Code features that blue sign and it means "Route to be used by pedal cycles only", so if you're displaying this on a road then that's knobbish (if it's a highway for mixed traffic and not a dedicated cycle track).
I take being seen as a priority over being seen as a knob. My bag isn't big enough for the classic caution triangle with black bike in the middle. wink
Okay I've looked into this because I do not want to cause any issues. Construction and use regulations about bicycles state rear reflectors have to be red and BSI approved. Extra reflectors on the bike facing rearward must also be red...

...but do not have to be BSI approved. Like the red reflective tape I have on my rear triangle. Reflective clothing do not have to conform to BSI regulations or construction and use regulations because they are technically not part of the bike.

You could argue that the rider, provides power and is therefore the engine but they are by law considered a separate entity.

Reflective patches on clothing can be any colour and are predominately silver reflective white but there are no restrictions in the colour either of the material or the colour they reflect.

As I wear my bag it is considered clothing so no laws are being broken. judge

As the sign on my bag is a hand made representation of a sign that is subject to copyright it is inaccurate enough by size, colour and image not to be considered a breach of the original version.

I was where google-car was (and car infront was where black van is merging) and knob-gobbler decided to pull out from side turning accelerating up in the cycle lane, trying to force his way infront of me, saw stuck-out kerb across the side where he was heading for and tried forcing me into second lane. I stuck where I was blew my horn, he showed me which finger he stuck up his arse and backed off, only to turn into the petrol stations 100yrds up the road.

tt of the finest degree.

ragging your 991 GT3 in a 30 limit outside New Eltham station tonight at 6:30 as commuters, kids on bikes and other normal traffic are making their way home. You, sir, are a knob.

Encountered possibly the most stupid human being in the world, at least York.

Just left a village at about 9pm and approaching 60, that's when I see an unlit silhouette right in front of me, slowed down and thought "bloody cyclist with no lights on", it wasn't that.
It was a jogger running towards me on the road wearing nothing reflective on a dark A19 while it was wet.

There is no pavement on this road, there was a massive grassy area next to the road. Maybe when he saw my lights coming he could have thought "he probably wont be able to see me until the last second, I should go on the grass and wait", instead he thought "there's lights coming towards me, I should keep running towards them".

Luckily nothing was coming the other way so I could move straight into the oncoming lane.

The local paper has no reports of accidents.

I nearly called the police but I realised by the time I had dialed he would be in the village and on the pavement. There's nothing for miles after so I decided he lived there and is just the village idiot. Also I had no signal on my phone (my car told me this, my phone was still in my pocket) . I don't know if you can phone the police without signal, I've never had to try.

If you find where he lives, you could at least let his wife know what he wants for Xmas.
Some High-Viz running stuff.

And as a runner, I think the guy was a tool.

Does a 999 (112) call not use whatever network signal is available? Perhaps even if you have no credit?

Three in the space of 50ft and 10 seconds!
Just had some roadworks finished at a roundabout which is now light cotrolled, and has a yellow box. The layout of the roundabout is more of an oval with straight sides the YB is sited at the beginning of the straight. so i am at the lights and traffic is coming onto the roundabout in front of me, the road after the box then becomes full and my lights go green, only i cannot go as the box junction exit isnt clear. After about 15 sec the far right hand lane clears and there is no traffic to my right, just about to move and a car beetles up the RH lane so i wait until she goes and follow her. She then cuts to the left and stops in the LH lane in the box. I carry on in RH lane and notice the two twots who were behind me in the LH lane enter box and stop behind her!!! Thus blocking the exit

Just another day in Bracknell

( I would do a googlemap link if i knew how!!!)

Perhaps an imminent trade in and doesn't want provider to know the proposed mark up?

That would make sense. I can't imagine for a second you need credit to phone 999.
