Haha and that's another one!

5) people who permanently leave their for lights on as if they are some sort of day time running light. I now start to see some cars where people have replaced the fog light bulb with an LED bulb just to try that little bit harder!
They're no longer fog lights, they're moron warning lights.
On a related subject:

May I suggest that it is very good practice to use dipped headlights during daylight hours in the winter months. Especially during the heavy, overcast skies that occur at this time of year.
On clear bright days when the sun is low, dipped headlights are a good aid to visibility as the sun often makes vehicles indistinct when caught in the shadows and reflections.

I would nominate this as an (ironic) non-knob practice.

IF the wheelie bin was full, I would have had a devil on my shoulder telling where to MT it.
Some on the lawn, some over their car and last but not least...some through their letter box!
Nice thought but not 100% sure which house it was. Knocked on a few doors but everyone denied all knowledge funily enough

Knob of the day today -

Going up Hagg Hill - steep hill with a 90 degree T-junction turn at the top. Both left and right have give ways to give priority to the vehicles coming up hill as is so steep most would struggle to set off form a stand-still. Knob in a car goes straight across my path from right to left causing me to have to brake hard, never mind ease off going uphill. Did not even slow never mind look for traffic!

Due to the angle my dash cam is unlikely to have captured the reg number saving them a visit from the boys in blue. Inconsiderate tt!

Bloke in a mini this morning who didn't even look and cruised straight out in front of me on a roundabout. Definitely didn't see me as he jumped out of his skin when I leant on the horn.

Prat.

You do not seem to have been on PH long enough to have realized that this is no place for sensible suggestions and wise counsel.

smile

P.S. (Between ourselves) It's also a good idea to use headlights on bright summer days where roads are bounded by bunches of trees. Going from bright south-coast sunshine into deep shade and vice versa every few seconds makes it difficult to see oncoming vehicles promptly.

This is one area where DLRs are useful - even the knobs (back on topic?) are clearly visible!

Cars without lights moving through poorly lit multi-storey car parks is another bug-bear of mine.

I agree. There is a long straight near me which is so thick with trees and foliage that it's like driving through a tunnel. You need dipped headlights. I was flashed there recently by oncoming traffic as if to say 'Why the headlights?'
They didn't have a clue. Knob! (back on topic.)

The video below is actually quite mild compared to some of the reports I've heard today.E.g., broken bones, people biting other people and a disabled women pushed out of her wheelchair.FFS! Are people that desperate for consumer goods?

Displaying 25 O as "25 O" = Good.

Displaying 25 O as "25O" = Bad.

I think that is the point. And a valid one, too, see?

From another thread:

I nearly shat myself watching this knob overtaking the tanker with no view of what was ahead (near beginning of his video).

I know that road (in Halifax) and the tanker could not possibly have taken that bend and stayed within the marked lane.

Watching (but with the sound muted, of course) made me glad I no longer live in West Yorkshire and therefore unlikely to cross paths with this idiot.

I don't believe for one minute, that is 'genuine'.

If it is however, he needs help, and lots of it.

people drive through amber lights?!?!?! eek
Obviously from up on his high horse he can't see that he's stopped in an ASL box at 2:50.
and the next clip, whinging about people jumping the lights, it takes him so long to react to the green it's not an issue, they're long gone and no doubt with him being so slow the third of fourth car back from him then jumps the orange light rather than get stuck on the next red rofl
