And apparently now indicating & NOT turning is a new crash for cash method of causing an accident
Yup, and the law won't be on your side because it's up to you to ensure they are turning before you pull out. I know it shouldn't be that way, and it isn't what normally happens, but cash for crash is about exploiting the rules and these low like stbags know it.

We are becoming a society of humanoids. Where individualism and nonconformity are considered a mental illness. Look at all the Facebook "selfie" clones. It's sad.

As for how this is effecting driving habits you see a sea of drone Euroboxes driving the same route to the same jobs listening to the same radio station every day that plays the same twelve records in a loop. None paying any attention as its a Groundhog day effect and nothing ever happens anyway. Then all of a sudden an Emergency Service vehicle has to get through and they're so busy posting it on ttter they forget they are supposed to move out of the bloody way.
That bit in Shaun of The Dead where 'Zombie Nation' comes on and it shows all the gormless people came to mind biggrin Infact, I'm going to listen to that now!

Would you pull out when the driver is so close that they would hit you if they carried on at the same speed? I doubt it. In that case, the driver would have to accelerate into you, which would be obvious from the crash scene and would, if the police are not utterly incompetent, result in an arrest.

I had something similar nearly happen to me. I wanted to turn right off a main road and was indicating to do so, stopped. A driver coming the other way stopped and flashed his lights to indicate that I could turn across him and into a side road. As I did so, he drove right at me, trying to hit me while holding down his horn (presumably so he could say he was surprised). I was too shocked to be angry for about 10 seconds and then tried to find him (still driving legally) so that I could "restrain" him until the police arrived.

So exactly like you'd pulled out right in front of them as they were at normal speed?

Moral of the story - unless it's stop-start traffic and there's lots of witnesses, don't pull out in front of anyone even if they offer. And especially not if they look like they might have come from Rotherham.

Nah, I bought a Jag XJR - I should be able to stomp on the loud pedal and outrun them... but I can't guarantee I won't be a knob and immediately stop for a nice juicy bit of road rage...

Chap outside halfrauds today, explaining to his pals what it was that denoted my car as a replica. (It isn't) Evidently he'd owned one till last year, which explains how he was so knowledgeable.

Funny really.

I had someone at work claim my car was a diesel with a body kit, fortunately starting it up sorted that out. People are stupid.

When I had my green X1/9 someone asked me why I had put Fiat badges on my MR2

People have woken up next to a horses head for less.

Annoying. But isn't it recommended, when turning right at a T junction, not to pull out even if the oncoming traffic is indicating left ? Drivers have been known to leave indicators on when not required.

I was T-boned for making this very mistake. Insurance said 2/3 my fault, 1/3 her's. At the time I thought it was 100% her's, but now I think it was 100% mine.

The five knobs who delayed my turning right at the end of this road.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.625533,-0.317191...

How? Because as they drove along the main road and turned right down the road I was waiting in, rather than use the right turn they were supposed to use (where the white car is), they drove past that and turned right across the front of the cars queueing to turn right out of the side road (where the camera is)
