People that don't know when to leave it m8 on the internet.

I don't even remember what JagXJR is arguing about but he's clearly forgotten that old saying about arguing on the internet :E

Someone who has a rant then says they are done. Then adds a few more snide posts straight away. Then raises the subject again on another thread. Then plays the holier than though card if anyone responds. Knob.
"Then adds a few more snide posts straight away" in response to your and your muppet cronies direct quotes. You can't let it drop can you? You were wrong and you just have to keep plugging away to try to justify whatever crazy idea you have in your head.

"Then raises the subject again on another thread" Again following a post directed at me.

I'm not holier than anyone, but I'll be damned if I let you and your muppet mates spout your lies unchallenged.

You need help! Medical help.

Don't bother responding, and if you do I'm ignoring you. Knob!

So when you said, on this thread,
"I recently encountered some road users using the road without following the rules of the Highway Code, posted about it and then had to endure the most appalling word twisting, lies, abuse and opinions of others that did not know what they were talking about. No mention of the poor use of the road from those road users, just I was the bad driver. That strikes me as a bit knobish, defending the actions of those not following the rules and attacking those that do"

were you referring to a different incident? There was no mention of the cyclist thread before that post.

People who don't listen! I get this at work a lot. Someone asks a question, when you answer they go off on a tangent you don't expect. You then end up having a 20 minute conversation that should be 2 minutes if they listened.

Or start to twist what you said to mean something different. Why do they do that?

Sometimes they don't like the answer you give and will keep ringing your colleagues asking the same question, as if this will somehow miraculously change the answer. If you ring and ask enough times we will suddenly change the answer to one that you like. rolleyes

If you don't like the answer, don't ask the question. Knobs!

On a related note, why do people think it is acceptable to be rude to staff just doing their jobs? See this in shops a lot.

Once I was in a free advice centre and someone was vigorously complaining because he had to wait. It is a free service FFS!
In the end I got fed up with them complaining and said "yes not acceptable is it, I think you should ask for your money back!

They ended up stomping out, I just waited and got my advice.

Yep. Judgemental one at that!

What has it got to do with you if someone's car looks st? They must like it otherwise they wouldn't be in it.

I could understand if it was driven badly, not in accordance with the Highway Code.

But because of a badge that they haven't added? rolleyes

Not half a page up you were complaining how people rip into you all the time, then you got and comment st like this when someone made a genuine mistake.
He didn't realise they made an X6 with that engine, does that make him a knob? No. Nobody here is expected to know everything about every car, we're not computers nor company directors with Goatees.

The only person on here ostracising you is yourself.

What happened to only responding to arguments, not starting them?

Person who start arguments instead of just responding to them, as I do. Never been very good at turning the other cheek.

Im a little bit upset with myself, when I write this as I saw a real knobbo this morning:

Dual carriageway - two lanes of traffic having been relaese from traffic lights, 30 miles per hour limit. I’m sat in my wife’s new car in the right hand lane of the two full lanes that are already doing the limit as we approach a side-road exit on the left, where a dark blue Audi A4 has just come to stop.

When there is less than 3 cars length from the wall of traffic, the Audi pulls out on the car to our left (a large black SUV), who has to seriously brake hard and only just misses the Audi rear.

I don’t want people thinking that this was a simple case of other drivers not anticipating the Audi, this was a simple case of the Audi not wanting to wait for the next break in traffic and just pulling out, knowing that everyone would need to go into panic mode.

The car behind the SUV locks up his tyres and leans on his horn. The Audi obviously hears this and proceeds to brake test both of them and all the cars in that lane as we approach a speed camera and a filter to one lane.

Our lane moves ahead and we are in front of the Audi at the filter and further along as we approach the next set of lights.

The Audi then tries to drive through a corner plot garage forecourt to avoid the lights at the but it is stopped by traffic on the road at the exit. The SUV follows him in. The driver and passenger get out of the Audi and head towards the SUV. I don’t think it was to apologise for being knobs.

I’m upset, because… the wife decided she didn’t want us to stop and get involved/ be late for our train. Which is upsetting as I think we should have stopped and uneloquently pointed out a few truths to the ‘tards’ in the Audi. As we drove away, I could see that some other cars HAD stopped - presumably to do just that.

I think it has been noted before, very recently, but people just cannot admit when they make a mistake and it’s those morons that cause all of the road rage and often plead ignorance.

ME!

This morning: Indicated and pulled into the middle lane on the M4 to overtake a line of lorries. All perfectly safe and lovely, until I realised, probably about a mile later, that I was still indicating. Something I never do. Mortified. getmecoat

But at least I did indicate, I suppose, unlike so many....

The chap in the third lane of four doing 60 yesterday on the M25. Could and should have moved over, but didn't. Middle laning at its worst (finest?)

When you see something like that, you have to almost admire the balls (or ignorance) of the MLMer. There is no way they can't know they're causing an obstruction. To be so bloody minded as to stay there shows some proper determination!

But the waiter had already successfully determined where the driver wanted to sit, based on his parking in the car park outside, so at least had proven himself to not be a complete rookie.

The Elliott's school of motoring instructor who was happily taking his pupil along the M1 at a steady 60-65 mph in the MIDDLE fking lane when there was absufkingloutley fk all in the inside lane ....you fking knob creating the next generation of Middle lane wkers. I he you told him to always have his fog lights on as well.
Fair rant. Guy on my parents' street used to be a driving instructor and rumour was he lost his licence to teach based on being caught taking a pupil on the Motorway. The other possibility is that in your instance it was a "post-test" lesson like Pass Plus or whatever the current equivalent is. Still a knob for not getting the pupil into the left lane when not overtaking though.

Not true, he has had a dig at me on another thread so just returning the favour.

If people left me alone and stopped their petty flame wars there would be no need for it.

So yes he is a knob, as is anyone who condones ANYONE who drives/rides badly ignoring the highway code!
