Car is back and about to have its first PH Smiley applied.

If anyone spectating manages to grab a video clip of it going past very slowly, please get in contact via twitter or this thread to forward it, because it would help enormously with the video.

Thanks in advance

Chris

P.S. It looks v.v.v.v.v.slippy
They'd do much better by sending it to Harry Hill...

Chris, the trick is to keep it as smooth as you can, keep the car in the middle of the track, Wyedean has some narrow stages. Drive as fast as you can see. Most time is lost on the corners under braking. Even if you are underpowered getting the braking or lack of it right will move you up the order surprisingly. Good luck. (Rally Vet)

I can confirm that Chris and Dan have successfully completed the first two stages. Off to see them again at Speech House (final stage) now.

Unlucky Chris and Dan. I think I heard your sump go. As you turned into the deeply rutted 90 left after the short downhill section on SS2, we heard a big bang. frown

Yup, I saw them on the road section after SS2 and assumed all was well however I spoke with the driver of a car around the same time as Chris & Dan at the start of SS7 and it seems that sump damage on SS2 was terminal. Unlucky chaps.

just got back

wyedean results had Chris and Dan in P5 after ss1.

WTF?

If that is genuine v well done. However if you want to know what is wrong with British rallying.. Well it would seem that 99% of club drivers can be blown off by a rookie in a knackered beemer.

  • of course there may be some other reason like he took a short cut or there was a big change in conditions.

O/T, and as a bit of a novice, how the hell do you learn to turn the wheel so fast, at about 3:55? Is it just down to experience?
Great video, as usual, Chris! thumbup
