My last Volvo, a 740 2.3 petrol had 320,000 miles on it when I got rid of it. The present one, a V70 has only 125,000 miles.

<bump> Found this thread after a search, so no point starting another.

100,000 is no problem IMO, but 200,000 in a daily driver?

I'm looking at Merc autos with this sort of mileage.

My current car I bought with 192k on the clock. I've stuck 14k on it in less than a year, owes me tyres.
E39 525i 206k miles which was bought to replace my 204k mile 528i I broke hitting a rock

My stbox ZX 1.9TD is happily* bumbling along at 286k. I gave it a new exhaust last week, it needs new brakes all round next month, then if the strange noise at 50-60mph goes then great, if not then more investigation needed!

I'm hoping to see 300k out of it, then I'll decide if I want to capture 333,333 on the clock or just bin it and move on, fancy a Xantia now...

I'd love to think I could get my Saab 9-3 to 200k, it's currently on 138k so I have a little while to go yet.

The car overall feels more than capable of that kind of use but whether the engine and related components are, I'm not sure.

I've done over 60k miles in my E28 over the last 3 years and it is now on 221'000 miles. I was planning on taking it past 300k but bought the Pug 205 Diesel (currently on 156k) to pile on the miles so one day it will be on 400k plus smile

Current fleet is a 324k mile Audi A6, 180k mile Fiat Panda and 151k mile Renault Scenic II.

Good chance of the Panda seeing 200k on its second engine, not sure about the Scenic hehe

This thread makes for great reading. My workhorse Accord Tourer will tick over onto a paltry 116,000 on the way home tonight but I do plan to keep it for a long time yet. Since they're not known for being shoddily built I think I could well see the double ton in it.

I might get my father-in-law to read this thread too - when I mentioned I'd bought a car with 100k+ miles on it that was met with a sharp intake of breath and warnings of impending mechanical disaster. Suggest that you might take a car up to 200,000 miles and you may as well tell him that you intend to drive it across the Atlantic Ocean.

Currently 249,000 miles on my 1991 Audi 200 20v turbo. It's my daily too.

Just rebuilt the turbo and brakes so it's ready to take on it's next 250,000....
Might take me a while as I only cover 5,000 per year.

...not their yet, but my E81 118d 2008 "vintage" N47, you know the engine that was suppose to blow up and eat its chain, has just hit 150,000 rather easily, so not long till 200k, probably next year.
