This dear old thing is currently sat SORN at 230k after being my daily driver for 4 years (I bought her with 172k IIRC).
Just need to get my ass in gear and get her back up and running with her bigger bottom end (ooh err).
A few niggles that need sorting- cross member bushes, a rusty bonnet and a rear wheel bearing but don't want to take it off the road until I've put my e39 back together.

Of the current fleet two of the Corrado VR6s have over 200k and are far far from end of life! I think they are more like a middle aged person who has plenty of life in them but needs to take a few extra vitamins and a nap once in a while.

The exchange rate is 1:3 for normal miles and w124 miles!
When I saw the photo I was like, hmm that's a brand new merc, those easily did 800k to a million speaking kilometers, but I guess they'd do it in miles too Mercedes almost went bankrupt after making this model, because 30 years later they were still running like new, so noone bought a new one 1986 Toyota Cressida, bought new, retired to paddock duties about 4 years ago at 377,000 kilometres. [234257 miles, as we no longer needed it's towing capacity.
Has done another 6200 kilometres around the paddocks carrying tools etc. to repair pumps, irrigation, & bushfire pumps, & still going strong. More comfortable than a 4WD ute.

187k on 2009 Skoda Octavia 1.9 pd tdi
While all but 20k were vet miles (low speed/ lots of bumpy tracks stop/start it has had a new engine at 2.5y/ 62k miles due to the well known failure of BXE engines and a new dmf/gearbox at 105k presumably as it was slightly damaged when the piston traversed through the block. Suspension renewed at 150k. Retired to my wife at 180k.
If VAG group hadn't cut so many corners that the engine failed it would have been a damb good car. As it is I will be avoiding them for at least a while.
