I think that is the difficulty - most of them seem to be on motorways!

Is it time to ask the challenge setter to prove this is possible? One rule (as much as this game has any rules) has long been that the setter should be able to show that the challenge can be done - over to you Samvia!

It's true, when they're showing Not In Use, the traffic is flowing. When it stops the sign is in use. Good challenge

I've got a suggestion. First one to get a pic of car & custard with a home made "sign not in use" sign attached to a regular road sign gets to set the next challenge. I'll rule myself out so there's no 'you had a sign ready waiting' .......Go!

I was thinking of doing that anyway, but the home printer isn't working and I'm not in the office for a couple of days so I'm likely to get beaten.

Think it should be a well made sign, however, not just a scribbled on sheet of paper. Also needs to be attached to something appropriate which fits the "sign not in use" theme. Make some effort in other words!
