I bought a Punto once that had 'ITS RUDE TO POINT!!!" written in quite large font underneath the numberplate. I cried, and then removed it.

Any window sticker which states some kind of tribal allegiance to a football team is funny.

"Your in my Heart, Your in my sole", No I'm not! fk off!
"You'll Never Walk Alone", No, but a sad fk who has a st sticker in his car will. Sad bd!

And particularly annoying when your are queuing in miles of traffic on match day when every other car has one occupant and a fking retarded football team sticker. Selfish bds. Get the bus, car share, or just simply get a fking life and allow those who need to use the road network use it without having to stare at your st sticker for hours whilst you and you fellow tribe members jostle to get to the the ground to watch 22 overpaid, under educated, poorly behaved children chase a bag of air around some grass.

So how do you rate your journey more important? If they've paid for tax/insurance then why should they take public transport?

If you know traffic's going to be a mare on match day why not travel some other time?

Quite funny your slating them for being tribe members when your on a motoring forum which some might describe as a tribe.

I never understand that sticker. Everyone's car is paid for and it's in front of me because we're in traffic.

It's most likely a dig at all the people who have cars on finance/pcp/lease but claim that they "own" a new car compared to those of us who may "only" have a 5+ year old car but at least it is bought and paid for!

The WORST smuggest most cringe-worthy sticker ever was given out to parents by a private school near me.

Well educated child on board (followed by the name of the school in smaller letters)

And yes, some parents really did stick it in their rear windows. smash
Shouldn't that be 'Well-educated child on board'? I'm not being a grammar tt to you, I'm just praying that error found its way on to a bumper sticker that's meant to be showing off how clever your child/child's school is... PLEASE tell me that the sticker was hyphen-less.

I've got a 58 on the back of my car. Although a garage I had my car serviced at had the cheek to put one of their stickers in my rear window. That irked me a bit.

I must say, my reaction to 'humourous' bumper stickers is rolled eyes rather than boiled piss. They are moronic though.

The bear character may have initially been used to 'mock' paedophile hysteria on various internet chatroom forums but it is now considered in the mainstream to be a symbol of paedophilia.

O Rly?

Wiki said:
Pedobear eventually became known outside 4chan as it was referenced by newspapers and prominent websites. It has been frequently misunderstood as a mascot of child sex offenders when on the contrary it mocks such people.
So, not really? Except for some hard of thinking PHers?

Sorry to be a pedant but that's not what it says in the wiki article.

'Now considered' and 'mistakenly' are 2 different things.

Whether you agree with it/like it or not it was a moding/tuning thing a few years ago and lets face it it's hardly plastered everywhere.

It doesn't cause me offence and i'm really not sure why people are getting their knickers in a twist about the sticker. It's obvious what it mocks, leave it at that. The guy isn't driving around with Jimmy Saville on his window (the bear with the condoms is in poor tast imho)!
Thanks, I think! Although I hasten to add, the 'Spunk' is a packet of sweets not condoms (now that would be a little odd)!!!

Vron said:
The mainstream - idiots as they may be, will view it differently. A quick Google by anyone seeing that sticker would make them think it was pro-paedophilia.

I personally know the origin of the character. It has appeared on Pistonhead's forums many times over the years.

Remember the Robertson's Golly symbol ??

But hey - it's on a family car so we can all just laugh about it.
So if you know the origin (and the fact it has nothing to do with promoting paedos) what's the problem?

Comparing Peado bear to a Golly? Really? Who am I offending? Bears? Paedos? Random PHers?

Vron said:
You've hit the nail on the head.

"Hey mum /nan / daughter / girlfriend / wife like my new car sticker??"

"What does it stand for?"

"- oh yes it's a picture tag people put on the internet on posts of very young girls to warn about possible paedophile content."
As I've said, no randomer has ever commented because 99.99% of people out there don't know or care about internet culture/memes. I don't think anyone really takes any notice.

If a randomer asked about it I'd just state it was a random bear - I don't think anyone would believe the truth behind it. It's only an amusing in joke for internet geeks who understand the background story.

The only people who have (ever) got upset about it are a few members on here in this thread. Tbh, I find it amusing so there you go. If it annoys a bunch of humourless PHers, even better tbh. In fact, I'm going to add an M badge next to it to cause some genuine controversy!

The golly comparison is an equivalent example of how a character has been misinterpreted by the mainstream.

The twisted part about your post is you find it amusing to refer to the connotation of your estate car as being a family car along with the paedobear. If you find that funny then fair enough I personally don't think its particularly funny.

You then add a further picture of a peadobear character toy with a packet of sweets labelled 'spunk' - again if you find that funny then fair enough. I think its rather sad again as you have put the sweets with the paedobear.

Its a public forum you can post whatever you think is amusing and I can comment that I don't think its amusing.

Interesting how you say would tell any 'randomer' who asked it's just a bear sticker - why not give the story behind peadobear - he's misrepresented after all!!

Mere 'M' badges don't cause me any concern.

I can't travel any other time as the business I have is at a fixed time like wise with my car share partners.

Why is my journey more important? It is a necessity for me, where as 40000 people watching 22 men chase a ball whilst abusing the authority figures and each other is not what I would consider a necessity.

I see Pistonheads as more of a pub/cafe/social club where you don't have to pay for the drink and you can choose to ignore those who you don't agree with.
