RE: Alfa Gloria concept revealed

"We need to get into China!"
"Quickly, mock up a 4 door super saloon to compete with ALL the other ones"
"Do you want it to actually be something we'll build?"
"No, it just has to look good and grab column inches away from our rivals and distract from the delays we've had in actually releasing the 4C that we promised in 2012...."

PMSL! Sounds about right. Fugly concept too. Not sure why Alfa have lost the plot. 8C and 4C are good, but their run of the mill cars seem to be designed by chequebook and design houses rather than a bunch of people who know how to make a good-looking car."Quickly, mock up a 4 door super saloon to compete with ALL the other ones"

Triumph first named a model Gloria 1933-38

So Alfa might want to negotiate with either BMW Tata or Nanjing first about the rights.

Awful, awful, awful, awful indicator design, but otherwise a real looker. Maybe a nip and tuck here and there just to tidy it a bit, but on the whole I like it.
you mean the streched line on the side? Quite nicely done with the handgrips though. Not really a newsworthy story though, still love it.

Wow, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. The four-door in the main article looks good too. Despite recent hatchback abominations, Alfa still knows how to design a beautiful car.BTW, where have all the 156s gone? There seemed to be loads of them sold when they were new, but you never seen one these days...

One word - cambelts. A few more words - Alfa/Fiat couldn't be bothered to design a solution for the T/S's appetite for cambelts, they simply shrugged their shoulders and said "Change it more often"

Good find! I note that you could have a 1467cc 6 cyl or a 1496cc 4 cyl.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_Gloria
