I'm amazed the car went so quick, carrying the colossal weight of that drivers gigantic ball bag. Jesus christ he's got some skill!

Almost unfair hitting it so early into the thread.

There's no sense of excitement waiting to see who will crack first!

The Malton car is an overpriced mishmash. But I'd still have it if it was free!

Haven't RUF been a manufacturer for quite a while? As far as I can remember there are two types; those essentially manufactured by RUF from a shell bought from Porsche and which get a RUF chassis number, VIN etc, and those which are converted from a Porsche car that has already been registered, and which has a Porsche Chassis number etc.

There are lots of small details that they made to make the cars as slippery as possible. The bumpers and spoiler. Using 356/VW headlamp glass which is smooth rather than the raised 911 ones. The wing mirrors. Using a Narrow body car, the vents in the rear bumper. Those are the ones I can remember from seeing one, I am sure there are loads more under the skin. While I do like Singers take on - not stuffing up a good design. It does do some things just for show, such as the external oil filler and central ashtray sized fuel filler thru the bonnet, which is a bit cars & coffee rather than anything.
A RUF from the early 90s did this because they wanted to go fast
Don't forget the single wing mirror on the driver's side, and even then it's a tiny little thing that barely protrudes from the pillar at all.

Yellowbird at the ring - a far cry from today's supercars, that is for sure.

Interesting note here to say that Genii are/were allegedly keen to buy Lotus cars if a reasonable deal can be done - possibly some potential engineering and commercial synergy in this Ruf deal, or them ditching the Lotus plans and moving onto an alternative.
