Can it actually carry 6ft tall adults in comfort not claustrophobia like the Rapide which really is a bloated 2+2 like DB9 with poor interior design and packaging using half decent quality materials.
Ah, a refreshing dose of sanity.

Anybody who'd take this over an FF needs their head testing.

Just me that thinks it looks unbalanced and hideous? paperbag

Maybe it is just the iffy Photoshops / renderings, but it looks fussy and clumsy. Like a Korean or Chinese copy.

It's a yes from me. Better than the (dons fire-retartant jacket) slightly ungainly saloon.

Seriously if you "really" wanted practical you wouldn't take either you'd be in a RS6 or M5 tourer

A friend of mine who likes the DB-era shooting brakes just said, "I don't want to say it looks like a stretched Lexus CT 200, but."

Zing. Also, can it be a shooting brake with four doors?

this is for hunting right ?
sooo let's imagine i'm a hunter, getting out ou my new aston, all bright and clean, i'm on the country side, the weather is... English...
then i'm hunting, it's UK, i then suppose its a bit muddy outside or a bit of rain.
sooo rather than coming back to the house with the dogs on the back of the land and me driving with dirty clothes as i use to do. i go to my brand new Aston, stop for a second, look at the interior of my brand new Aston, all creamy and shiny leather and..
oh nooo !!! i can't sit on it, its gonna be dirty !!!!

conclusion: get rid of your land and hunting, then and only then you will be able to buy this shooting brake aston, or don't change a thing a moke people driving it

conclusion2: this does apply to 4x4 that goes only on school run on the morning.

Love it! But, is it a shooting brake? -it's got 5 doors rather than 3 so it's actually an estate. That doesn't sound quite as glamorous though...

Merc do it for their CLS:
http://www.mercedes-benz.be/content/belgium/mpc/mp...

Apparently somehow someone from marketing somewhere decided that a hatchback of a 4-dr coupé, derived from a saloon, is a SB instead of a hatch/estate.
In that vain it's easy to see how this hatchback of a 4-dr coupé, derived from a 2dr coupé, is actually an SB as well.
It's a trend.

Looks like Bertone may have been doing some moonlighting. Change the grill and the lights and Giovanni e 'tuo zio

Longest face-palm moment in the world, ever? When Bez and Reichman first saw the Rapide 'Brake: "What were we thinking?? Instead of building a lame, bland, long-wheelbase four-door DB9 that nobody's buying - we should've produced something like this! Call yourself a designer??"

"Call yourself a CEO??"

FFS, put it into production - now! Who cares if, like the existing Rapide, it'll be overweight, thirsty and relatively slow - it looks gorgeous lick

Quite dissapointed in interior packaging of these type of cars ,they are so long but so little room inside and the outside just does not look elegant elephant sat on me look.

This has probably been mentioned in countless other posts but isn't a "shooting brake" a 2-door hatch-back?

2 doors with boot - Coupe
2 or 4 doors with hatch (shorter wheelbase) - Hatchback / Liftback
2 door with hatch (longer wheelbase) - Shooting Brake
4 doors with boot - Saloon / Sedan
4 doors with (vertical) hatch - Estate / Stationwagon

No likey!

3/4 angle is reminiscent of Lexus CT.. with slightly SUV proportions
Seems fussy compared to Panamera Shooting Brake concept

Not wishing to sound like a geek, BUT... this reminds me of the Starship Enterprise being stretched when entering warp speed. It just seems to go on forever.
Love it.
