No, my point was not that Ferraris are hard to live with, but that Ferrari owners (especially those of their F40, F50, Enzo hyper cars) are rarely seen driving them and are, in the main, paranoid about actually using them for fear of increasing the mileage. I don't see anyone tlaking about wanting to take their Enzo to 100k miles, like RA with his F1, for example.

Although, to be honest, given the way it looks, if I had a 'LaFerrari' I'd probably hide it in the garage too. It's awful!
Totally agree. This is one of the main problems I have with Ferrari. They are ( mostly ) garage queens. And the market thinks the same thing. Low mileage is super, super important. Try selling a 458 with 40,000 miles on it back to your dealer and prepare to have your trousers pulled down. This does not happen to the same extent with Porsche, for example...
I’m not for one minute saying people razz down to the shops in their Enzo but it depends on where you live.

When i was based in Edinburgh you'd see a few California’s, 458's, 575 burbling around town on a sunny weekend. I live down south now and granted don’t see them as frequent (guildford area) but there's a few around.

They are cars which are worth more than some people’s flats and houses....... and cost a price of a small car to run each year so no wonder people hold out for special days.

Also sorry add to this, what I’ve realised with my cars (granted at the bottom end of sports cars (111R/Z4MC) when in comparison to what we're talking about...)is that i love them because of their difficulties and nuances which we call characteristics i don’t love them and actually find them boring if their super-efficient in delivering what they are designed to.

And no-one with any taste in their bones is going to buy a car called a Laugh-errari.
The name is indeed ridiculous, but I don't think anyone at Ferrari is actually worried about shifting them.

Can't see any rational argument for a P1. Mclaren have been cheap and tarted up a bottom of the range model whereas Ferrari have built from scratch.

So how much does the P1 share with the 12C. Same basic engine. Same chassis. Same interior. The same clever active suspension?

Ferrari looks like a mansory 458 crossed with a mock up prototype from the 80's.. thoroughbred? yes.. a thorughbred donkey! You know a design is a mess when no one thought to put a numberplate on it until the last minute.. then they chopped its "dangly bit" hehe ..in half yikes to mount it rofl Too many cocks.. erm i meant cooks... spoilt the dish i guess, looks like a lot of people designed it and they wernt on the same page and everyone wanted their little "design" on the car.

P1 is a modern timeless fluid design, well thought out and a timeless classic like the F1 is today. I cant wait to see one for real.

I wish the F150 had blown the doors of the Mclaren, but its lame and thats a shame they could easily do better.

As for performance, the ferrari might be faster in a straight line the P1 in the corners, thats if ferraris power/weight can be believed .. for once biggrin

Ultimately its good we have both these cars and all the other supercar makers out there today, they bring joy and happiness to billions of people and the lucky few who own them too! clap

I don't the Ferrari is ugly. I think it's a beautiful car but just nothing new. It just doesn't look ground breaking, ahead of the others. It kind of looks like 'expected'. It's difficult to explain.

Conversely, I don't think the Macca is better looking. But the Macca just looks exciting and new.

Weirdly the Macca wins in the exact way I expected the Ferrari to blow it away. Cohesive, exciting and new looks.

I wonder what the real sales figures are for both cars
