At £350k retail, I'd rather have a Bowler Wildcat, a 6x6 Ural 4320, a used 458, and might even squeeze in a BAC mono. No contest.
But if you were in the market for £300K+ cars it's just a matter of taking the zeros off. £20K for a sports car, £35K for this or £80K for a Mclaren P1

That's brilliant, that is! I particularly enjoyed the part in the video where they zoomed in on a tiny, delicate desert flower, and then cut to a 4 ton six-wheeled monster truck going airborne over a dune on its way to headbutt mother nature into oblivion. I don't know much about advertising, but I know what I like!

DO they do an armored version? I'm concerned that this flyweight may be unstable in a crosswind . . .

No it doesn't and you are right, that's why the plebs run around in £350K jumped up SUVs (£35K Second hand Range Rover Vogue 2011 low mileage) and the rich have £800,000 Mclaren P1s (£80K Audi R8 2 years old , low mileage)

Also if your car budget is tight at £350,000 in cash that's probably a low % of your income, £800K isn't a great big reach to buy something, like a house, or an extended swimming pool and guest complex.

The main article is incorrect when it refers to the Austrian army, the order was actually placed by the AUSTRALIAN army. They ordered an assortment of 1200 G Wagens in right hand drive which is why RHD G Wagons are on sale in the UK again for the first time since 1994.

A selection of Aussie army G Wagons.

Ah, is that why G-Wagens once more have steering wheels on the correct side? I suppose that's the second thing we have to thank Australia for after Les Hiddens.

Love it, not sure what I'd use it for though. Maybe if I ever needed to hunt someone down. Like say, Cheney and Rumsfeld in some Mad Max style mission across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

That could be true for the McLaren P1, the Porsche 918 and LaFerrari - does that mean we shouldn't discuss them either?
yes I can't be the only one here who was wondering what possible career could warrant buying one on expenses.

Yes I'm sure a potential owner would think that....as he parks it up by his 100M quid yacht in Monaco, takes off on the helicopter on the back, flies to his G6 parked up at the airport destined for the Courchevel Altiport and his 10 bedroom Chalet in 1850. I'm sure he's angry with himself about what cars he could have bought for the same cash, but then he realises he already owns all those cars too.

People that buy this won't have to save up for it you know.... wink

I doubt that 6X6 G Wagon would register anything on the MPG scale wink It's more likely to do 3 gallons per mile hehe

Totally useless unless you are a despot who runs and owns a small country.
The last despot to use a six wheeled Mercedes was a certain A Hitler!

Comedy ad there! It made me feel strong, powerful and lot more manly than I was before. I feel like eating a very rare steak.

Reminded me of the Canyonero ad from the Simpsons:
