RE: Chris Harris video: Geneva motor show and more
Discussion
Like the video.
I wish it could have been 1hr long, just chris wondering around the show and having a more detailed look at the cars. E63 bit didn't need including and could have just been a separate piece for another time.
P1 growing on me.
LaFerrari is a horrible name, but car looks good.
Decent normal looking xenon/led lights would have looked great on the Alfa and not that messy set up.
Lamborghini looks bonkers if a touch messy.
New GT3 looks much better than I thought it would. That rear wing is so much nicer than the development cars were sporting. Too much of a tech-feat we will have to way and see.

I really chuckled at the Veneno bit, it really looks embarrassing for them. I hadn't realised the Gallardo had got that old already too.
What I want to see now is how the Aventador stacks up against the P1 and LaFerrari. Or rather how much faster the two newer cars are. Lamborghini have put themselves behind a bit, or maybe it's actually really smart. The Aventador will probably still sell even though it isn't as fast, and they haven't spent anywhere near as much developing it. Maybe it's all gone into the Gallardo replacement as that's the company's 'volume' seller.

Wrong rivals. Aventador is sub 'hyper-car' on performance goals and price. F12 is that cars main rival. The veneno does look crude next to the new Ferrari and mclaren. What I want to see now is how the Aventador stacks up against the P1 and LaFerrari. Or rather how much faster the two newer cars are. It will be interesting to see at what level these two cars are now pushing and how they compare.
Wouldn't normally respond to this sort of post. But great video as usual Chris, that E63 is pretty awesome.
I pay my license fee and get st like top gear, I come to a free forum / youtube channel and get motoring gold I don't pay a penny for and get very little in the way of adverts shoved in my face.
How can folk on here watching a free video by a fantastic journalist, shot in HD and edited rather nicely really be complaining and critiquing? Get some perspective.

Interesting to hear Chris's view on some of these cars, but lets not get carried away, about nine minutes at the show which lets be honest, there is similar stuff on youtube, also shot for nothing.I pay my license fee and get st like top gear, I come to a free forum / youtube channel and get motoring gold I don't pay a penny for and get very little in the way of adverts shoved in my face.

Edit:Chris's is the best one though, some EVO guy was unaware the Ferrari pedals were adjustable...

not with a presenter who is on the level, actually talks to you like your mates and also understands the level of understanding of his viewer so does these geeky videos that petrolheads enjoy.I genuinely avid watching these vids at work and purposefully wait til i get home so i can sit with a cup of tea and enjoy the 15-20 minutes of good honest petrolhead talk. Oh and guess what, its not fake as Chris is no different in real life when you meet him out abd about.
For me the Singer video he done a while back was worth my internet charges for the year
Looks like the fun police are out in force in this thread! Now, I'll never attempt to do tail-out antics like in the vid on a public road. Lots of reasons for that, lack of talent for one. However, watching Chris do it in his vids is a bit of an escapism for me, so I for one, enjoy watching the slidey stuff.
Funny that, I hate the way they do it Top Gear with acres of space on a track, it doesn't look all that impressive or fun, when they eventually spin.
Would like to have had Chris talk about other cars on display rather than have a test in the middle though, that could have been kept as a separate piece.
