Not sold on the appearance, but looks like it could be good fun on the B-roads.

Shamless pic but mine is up for a change soon, dependant on price I am interested.

BUT, that front end.

Mine (IMO) looks a million times better.

For what it's worth, I really like mine. Its not hugely powerful but has a good chassis. It does break traction very easy though so I would hope the new car has had a L0T of work.

I think it looks great and seems to be fun to punt. What's not to like?
You don't get it, do you ? It's PH. You have to be negative, especially about the car's looks. It doesn't really matter how well it may drive.
ha, Ha, I was just thinking this! Ok the grill is a bit yuk, but what else is not too like?
Its nippy, agile, fun and good value in todays market...

As mentioned before, the front end of this car looks awful. And if that was supposed to be a promo video highlighting the sporty characteristics of the car, then they didn't show them very well.

It looked and sounded like a normal city car at it's absolute limit (and sounded very diesel-like at times).

Personally, I'm going to stick with the Renaultsport brand.

I'm a big fan of this car, so much so I will hopefully be placing my order tomorrow.

Has nothing to do with the fact I work for Ford, will be swapping from my Z4 Coupe because I honestly believe it will be a great car to drive.

Did i somehow get linked through to a different video from everyone else?? What i saw was a frankly tall, heavy, and "not that hot" hatch driving in a relatively composed but dull safe fwd fashion around a damp smooth circuit. It was clear the only thing getting it sideways was momentum oversteer with a large exagerated handwheel input, and by the time the slide had been contained and the momentum bled away, the car had practically stopped moving. I don't think it is exactly the new Caterham now is it, so lets put the hyperbole away for today shall we............ ;-)

Not that I'm in the market for one of these, but that video actually put me off it.

You're totally right. His steering inputs were purposely devoid of any smoothness, not unlike 99% of performance car road drivers... But you'll agree that most fwd hatches are set up to understeer when treated like this so maybe the ST is a bit better than the average ?

I know it's a promo video but the car may well be very good despite that !

I absolutely love it. It's the most excited I've been about a car in a long time, and I'm thinking that I may P/X my Focus for one next year. I think the Fiesta is certainly the best supermini on the market by a long way, and they seem to have addressed complaints I had about my 2011 Fiesta for the 2013 facelift. I'm impressed.

That front end is hideous ! Not for me thanks, don't have much love for Ford's at the moment ! It all seems to be going down hill the last few years imo.

Jeeeez. PH on usual form.

I am not a massive fan of fwd/hot hatch, but this looks great. 2 door, unlike a lot these days. Good stuff from Ford.
