...oh, and did they tint the headlights too?

They look bent.

More mainstream. Less unique.

It would look much better in BRG or something equally less Cheshire. Quick and very sloppy Photoshop:

Looks a very British workshop to me. Do the Yanks have any buildings that old?

Can't help wondering what would happen if a UK tinting company had disclosed an American pre-production model. A little trip to court perhaps.....

For me this strikes a perfect blend of Evoque and Range Rover. I'd still rather have an L405, though.

Makes a much more interesting story though than a barely visible teaser image of one of its reversing sensors.

I just now mourn the loss of the last proper 'bloke's 4x4'.

First they namby-pamby the Defender's drivetrain with a blu-tak-based Ford Puma engine and gearbox - and now this.

I thought the RR sport and RR full stop were proper bloke's cars - as certainly were the older Discoverys - you know, the sort of thing you have as the owner of a paintballing operation.

But the whole Evoque and X6 design phenomenon is a bit like with modern Black & Decker drills - as though designed by 6-year olds.

The magic of the Defender was precisely that it wasn't 'trying' at all.

I understand - they will as you say sell like anything - but I mourn the end of a motoring era. Landrover were the last holders of that bloke's car torch.

I really can't decide if I like that or not ?? Yes looks more modern but not sure that's a good thing !!

It will sell like hot cakes no matter what I think !!

Can't help feeling looks wise one of the last 3.0 sports may be better, I do suspect however that as this is all ally I believe and on the new rr platform it will drive superbly

Can see the current sports pricing takinga. Complete bath very quickly !!

Not keen on this do not like the exhausts at all, still I hope it will sell well and going by the amount of new FFRR's I saw today at least 5 in and around Leeds/Bradford, it will.

Not a fan of the current RRS, this looks much better.

The rear lights have a hint of new Rowe/rover about them though...!

Looks OK, would like to see one in the metal. LR are gonna have to open a new production plant at this rate. Well done them!

I wonder how many of these we'll see planted to the outside lane on any of our motorway networks?

Well we don't have that issue now, the popular/most common RRS 2.7V6 is pathetic at 80+

Can't imagine the proposed 2.0D will cause many issues either.

Your not wrong about the 2.7 - it was woefully inadequate - the 3.0SDV6, now the most popular choice, is however a different kettle of fish
