My van :

Now with roof bars and well secured drain piping

It's got a 320bhp 2.0Turbo Z20LET engine and weighs just over 1000kg

These are quite old pics, but it now also has signwriting and a few more scuffs and dents

Although, obviously, not great off the line, from around 50-80 in third, it's not too far off the pace of my daily driver ;

Here is someone who gets what a sleeper is about, and it is fantastic!

Ahem, you can spot an AMG from a mile off! If it was a bit more subtle it would be a Q CAR not a SLEEPER!!

I keep checking the ads for these but I just can't live with the tiny fuel range. Lovely cars though.

Ours is a bit more Q car. Sounds like a 318d (on start up), looks like a 318d. But has twice the power of a 318d (it's on 305bhp) Nowhere near AMG levels but it still provides a lot of fun.

I once got utterly slaughtered in an F430 Spider by a knackered, matt black Capri... Absolutely full chat, shift on the limiter and it went past me like I was standing still.

Caught up with the bloke (eventually), down the road (way, way down it) for a chat and it turned out it had a 700bhp supercharged Mustang engine in it, with a 150bhp shot of Nitrous that, fortunately for me, wasn't working!

This is what I want my R21 to be. Exactly this. (Also, reliability would be nice, but unlikely lol)

Think these only count as sleepers if they are charged. I know it's a mustang engine but in standard tune it's only about 260bhp isn't it? So wouldn't shock too many people.

That's the most unsleeping sleeper on here. May as well drive around in a nomex suit and helmet smile)

Someone please correct me if my understanding of what constitutes a sleeper is wrong, but it should ;

LOOK LIKE IT HAS MICRA PERFORMANCE, BUT GO LIKE IT HAS SERIOUS SPORTS CAR PERFORMANCE

am I wrong ?

So this is the twin turbo Mercedes W124. 315 BHP and huge torque. No badges apart from a tiny twin turbo one on the spoiler that you would have to be six inches away to read. Someone fitted 18" alloys before I had it but I swapped them for std wheels which makes it much more fun.

Stevieturbo's Granada is a bit of a sleeper, does 200mph in the mile and an awesome drag car

Don't kid yourself. The VRS looks like its performance and wouldn't be able to keep up with almost any proper 'big euro barge'
