That's the most unsleeping sleeper on here. May as well drive around in a nomex suit and helmet smile)
Point taken. smile

Stevieturbo's Granada is a bit of a sleeper, does 200mph in the mile and an awesome drag car

Fabia vrs tdi! 1.9 litres and 145hp worth of skoda sleeperness. I have great fun surprising passengers (especially my mum) and big euro barges!
Don't kid yourself. The VRS looks like its performance and wouldn't be able to keep up with almost any proper 'big euro barge'
Agreed.

Nippy yes, fast? Absolutely not! Sleeper? Not unless its a car like Furbi's!

Ha Ha 145 bhp is not a sleeper! and i think the big Euro barges weren't even aware you were "racing"

It is very rare that i will agree with a BMW being a sleeper but it's the boggo bumpers and alloys that make that. rofl

ETA Although is that an intercooler i can see? If so then i think it breaches the Sleeper rules. teacher

Someone please correct me if my understanding of what constitutes a sleeper is wrong, but it should ;

LOOK LIKE IT HAS MICRA PERFORMANCE, BUT GO LIKE IT HAS SERIOUS SPORTS CAR PERFORMANCE

am I wrong ?

140hp will be more than enough in that car. and everyone will expect you to be running a 1.2 push rod engine making 50hp! when you shoot off into the distance at 8,500 rpm

Currently building a mk1 lotus cortina clone, but with a 400+bhp cosworth engine. Externally no different to standard, however big disc conversion, T5 box, cosworth engine rack and pinion strg and intercoolers.

The plan is for it to look completely standard, shell currently in with the painters for the obligatory ermine white and sherwood stripe treatment, might be finished for March 2014

Almost got shown up by a rather normal looking Mk5 Astra 1.8 estate the other day. The noise of the turbo would suggest it wasn't a 1.8 anymore. Very stealthy!

Not quite in the league of the monsters up here - I had a Saab 9-3 viggen.
About 300bhp Abbott racing chip - had some serious stomp - midrange torque from the standard 2,3 lump was excellent.
Could surprise evos and imprezzas on a straighter road. Porsche boxters were its food of choice.
It was like living with Kato though - never knew when it would strike.
Amazing economy though. Regular 38mpg saw 47 on a long slow run up the m6.
I miss it a lot.

My 4.6 stage 3 tuned Range Rover is good too.
Also has uprated suspension and tyres.
Looks crabby but goes and handles very nicely.
Quicker than a lot of new 4x4's around.
This engine is going into a defender 90 - about 500kg lighter, so should be even better!

Somewhere lurking around Retford (notts) is a red Sierra Estate. Faded dull oxidised paint, steel wheels, pea shooter exhaust, filthy and a bit rusty. Do not mess with it.
I assume the tail pipe is not he actual live one as this stty old shed left my Cerbera for dead. He even slowed down a few times so he could take the piss out of me again. I didn't hear any dump valve sounds or V8 rumble but it moved like it had been fired out of cannon but with barely a sound.
