No No No

The GT-R is a thing of...beauty
The QashQow isnt.

What they should have done is lightly played with the GT-R then driven the QashQow into the Severn Estuary
LOL

Saw the finished article at this years Autosport show.

some machine! plenty of fun to be had.

That's one way to pour money down the drain I suppose.

Will they have to have this subjected to an iva test when complete?
It's interesting that the donor car seems to be hiding its identity, whereas the quasquai has all it's plates on show.
The car is now 'finished', no IVA test, it is on the Qashqai plates, maybe this was the reason the base GT-R didnt show it's identity.

Good point. Might become the youngest Q-registration car on the road scratchchin
It should be but they won't put it under independent scrutiny.

Old post I know, but since it was made entirely from new parts it would be eligible for a current year reg plate after passing an IVA test.
What new parts, have you seen the build thread? It's the body of a Qashqai welded on to a GT-R with the roof chopped off. Some of the GT-R bits got painted, a few uprated - it is the original GT-R with a new top and uprated engine.

The builders are refusing point blank to enter it for an IVA test as "the rules don't apply to already registered cars" apparently, so they've left it with the Qashqai identity.

It is rumored to be up for sale at £275,000 - a potential 230mph+ with 1,000bhp+ cut'n'shut which the builder is refusing to allow to be tested as it's already registered to this (which incidentally wasn't used the final car) -

I hope the new owner doesn't hear a rattle as it's launched down the POD...

I doubt it was £250K worth.

Used GTR for circa £40K Maybe £14? for a CashKai Couple months cutting and bodging. Not like it was a full time thing at 40hr per week.

Of course, the uber cynic in me wonders how they acquired that GTR...
