Will they have to have this subjected to an iva test when complete?
It's interesting that the donor car seems to be hiding its identity, whereas the quasquai has all it's plates on show.
The car is now 'finished', no IVA test, it is on the Qashqai plates, maybe this was the reason the base GT-R didnt show it's identity. It's interesting that the donor car seems to be hiding its identity, whereas the quasquai has all it's plates on show.

Good point. Might become the youngest Q-registration car on the road
It should be but they won't put it under independent scrutiny.Mr2Mike said:
Old post I know, but since it was made entirely from new parts it would be eligible for a current year reg plate after passing an IVA test.
What new parts, have you seen the build thread? It's the body of a Qashqai welded on to a GT-R with the roof chopped off. Some of the GT-R bits got painted, a few uprated - it is the original GT-R with a new top and uprated engine. The builders are refusing point blank to enter it for an IVA test as "the rules don't apply to already registered cars" apparently, so they've left it with the Qashqai identity.

Guy from SVM estimated it cost around £250k.
It is rumored to be up for sale at £275,000 - a potential 230mph+ with 1,000bhp+ cut'n'shut which the builder is refusing to allow to be tested as it's already registered to this (which incidentally wasn't used the final car) -I hope the new owner doesn't hear a rattle as it's launched down the POD...
