Pig ugly, hideous body kit, terrible colour, cartoonish looks, video a bit too long. I'm just waiting for someone to whine about Mr Harris drifting and wasting tyres next (again!).

FOR CHRIST SAKE!!!!!!!!!

Go and log onto WhatCar website and have a good old read of the latest Vauxhall Zafira 1.2 D road test or something else as dull.

Why even watch the vid.

These cars should be celebrated. It is awesome and the fact merc builds stuff like this should be praised.

Have you driven either an F12 or this new black series. Harris probably has, so may have a point. The F12 isn't as track focused like the merc, so it could be as quick... On a track.

I liked seeing the different parts, it allows you to picture these changes that you read about and appreciate the differences.

Liked the vid, like the car. Hope my numbers come up on Friday on the euro millions.
Absolutely this! thumbup

Whats with the thumbs up every five seconds? You look like you've been watching too much Gordon Ramsey(which can't be good).

Nice car, would probably take a standard one over the 'halford special look'if i was ever in a position to make that choice. Yeah, i'm looking at you Hector Riva!

i have a completely irrational lack of interest in this car. frown
ignoring the glorious spec and noise i think for 200k plus i want a car i'd keep until i die and would sneak down to the garage to look at night. i'm not convinced the tuv approved splitters, dive planes and spoilers do it for me. maybe i'm just getting old.

edited to add; yet another good vid. (ps harris if you happen to read this, the great vids are the ones where you interview the engineers who built it)

My gut feeling is that the SLS BS has had more R&D money spent on it than most other supercars.
So whilst the style is subjective I imagine the engineering quality is objectively very high.

Anyone notice how much the drivers seat was moving around? Surely that cant be very good/right, especially if you were to have a bit of a prang in it eek

I thought Chris looked a bit squashed into that seat - too close to the steering wheel. It didn't look comfortable to me anyway.

Another great vid. I always love the geek appeal in CH's videos. Proper enthusiast. Keep 'em coming Chris. thumbup

FWIW, I think the SLS looked great though that boot spoiler seemed very much an after thought. Sounds awesome though. cool

Great film Chris, very enjoyable. Car seems a better piece of kit than I would have otherwise given it credit for.

I really enjoyed the video, including Chris's infectious enthusiasm over the lost kg exhibit but didn't he say that torque was down on the standard engine because it revs to a higher limit and then say when driving that it had more torque?
peak torque is down slightly, but I believe torque is up in other parts of the rev range.

Sit in drivers seat
extend arms out in front of you at shoulder height (give or takee)
Rest your WRISTS on the wheel. Adjust seat/wheel to suit.
= Perfect driving position

Simply. You get better leverage on the wheel because your arms are working closer to yourself. Imagine picking up a heavy weight arms straight out in front of you. Now imagine the same thing with your arms bent at 90 degrees but extended in front of you. Easier innit biggrin

Maybe its just me but i cant help but feel completely de-sensitized by another "bigger faster more powerfull more sideways more expensive super car" they just seem to be ten a penny nowerdays.
