RE: New Range Rover Sport: official
Discussion
More and more Range Rovers in my area and the majority are driven by the bald muscle stereotypes, wearing t-shirts too small for them, 40-50 odd years old with a 25 year old blond sitting in the passenger seat.
I can see them driving one of these. Can't wait to see how it will look with oversizedfinch wheels and a real good numberplate.

what a belter. Never liked the looks of the previous model - far too squared off and slightly 'cheap' - new one is spot on, and as someone already said, looks much better in the grey than red.
Also gets rid of those door fins on the RR - all the better for it, and somehow manages to look much more compact.

I was a big fan of the original RRS and think this is quite a nice revision. My only beef is with the rear lights sweeping round the side. It seems they're meant to reflect/compliment the headlight styling... but I don't like it. You want the impression of movement from front to back, but not back to front.
There's nothing wrong with the car. Unfortunately, too much wrong with the image of the driver when I try to imagine myself driving one. I'm sure it will do well and hopefully the demographic (at least the stereotype anyway) will change.
It's a strange one really and probably deserves its own thread. A car you'd like to own but are put off by the image it gives. I always wanted a Subaru wrx type uk but could never shake off the the image of being compared to the local dodgy drug dealers. Fast forward 10 years and on my way to buy an r8, after convincing myself that it wasn't drawing a chav type following, I drove past a tight t shirt wearing man getting into his blinged up r8. Never made it to the Audi garage.
Anyway. Well done JLR. From where I'm sat the car looks good. Looking forward to the reviews.
