Duelling Ferrari F50s: Time For Coffee?

Anyone got a clutch for a Ferrari F50? Actually, best make that two...

There are those who consider a car like the Ferrari F50 a work of automotive art something to be sealed in an air conditioned chamber, treasured, preened over and eventually sold on to realise a huge profit at the appropriate time. And there are those too rich to give a f......

Two of the latter with access to a pair of Ferrari F50s, a load of land and time on their hands have decided to demonstrate the fact. Yes, TaxTheRich are back.

Heroes of hooning or a pair of vandals abusing two treasured supercars any one of us would sell body parts just to have a quick go with? We'll let you decide but these guys, of course, have previous both with a Rolls-Royce and a Ferrari Enzo. And while we're not sure of the going rate for an F50 clutch (or, indeed, two of them) in terms of brightening up everyone's morning we'll consider it money well spent.

Vid here.

Great videos but I want to see a 250GTO drifting in a ploughed field whilst towing a caravan.

I heard its the Foxton family - not sure if it's true

Its the rich man's equivalent of doing a burnout in a McDonald's car park. But I still like it :-)

Not in the same league, and I realise I only have a lowly Carrera 4, but I'll frequently take it off road to pursue rabbits across almost any terrain - but that's what 4 wheel drive is for, right!

Those clutches will be fine; they'd obviously moistened the surface to get them going.

Any more real info on who these jammy buggers are?

Ace. Cars like this are built to be enjoyed... and it looks to me like they are having a bloody good time.

I think I'm the only one who doesn't really get the fascination with burnouts. Everything seems to be going a little bit 'Ken Block Hooningan' around here. Nonsense.

The whole thing seemed a bit lame.

The hooning wasn't particularly exciting and the tug of war was utterly dull.

True. If not the clutches are the same part number as the Maserati 4200; but a quarter of the price. Maranello's didn't have any in stock so we were told to get a 4200 clutch and it fits right in.....

Vapid, is, I believe, the appropriate adjective.

They might garner a more enthusiastic response from those that appreciate the machinery if they were to do something interesting - like pitch up at an open hill climb event or a Goodwood sprint with some numbers and a crash hat...and do the maximum attack thing...
