What happened here was that someone very very very sad indeed reported this Delorean advert to the ASA, knowing full well that it's a spoof. Pathetic.

What was the penalty for breaking the ASA regulations?

Having a pop at whoever went to the ASA, when it could have been several people may seem counter to rehabilitation and reformation?

I'm not carrying a hatchet on this. The thread has brightened my day.

It's the ASA rules that means we don't see a Subaru BRZ doing doughnuts around a milk churn or an attractive woman in bed in make up?

I do believe we are feeding the frenzy. I have to say if I was in the market to lease a car I would be on the Lings website to take a peak right now. Better a bit of humour and eccentricity than the usual dry offerings out there.

Rather sad, and a less than fantastic showing by the ASA (who still allow Auto Windscreens to state that any chip WILL crack etc).

Ling is fking annoying though. Id probably sooner catch the bus than have to deal with her.

Personally I hate her website but still leased a car from it.. bonkers as the website is and her marketing, it works. The customer service was fantastic. Sometimes it's good to have a bit of fun in life and not take things too seriously..

On as side note you can technically buy a new DeLorean from DeLorean Motor Company http://delorean.com/sales/ in the US. I believe they are built to order to original or custom specification and TBO if I could order one at £149.99 I would!..
