Advertising Standards and DeLorean and Ling - THANKS

That doesn't really cut it though, does it? You are leaving PH wide open to accusations of double standards. As someone else has already said, would anyone other than Ling have got away with linking a drivers' rights group (that PH used to wholeheartedly support) to Nazism if they weren't 'quirky and amusing' in someone's opinion?
Look, here's the thing; the thread stands, Ling is allowed to post here. That's it. I'm not going to get further drawn into debate with you on it because, if I do, the thread will descend further into pettiness, the people who came here just to enjoy it will move on, and all that will be left with be the small minded pedants who can't leave something alone and accept that it is JUST PEOPLE TALKING ON THE INTERNET.
Now, it is 5:30pm. Go home to your families, have a cold beer, move on.
Thanks,
Stuart.

Whereas in the opinion of others, it is. As I've said already, reading is not compulsory.

People are not allow to get personal though, which you're doing.
Ironic - this thread is based entirely on Ling's personal rant against someone (could the opening line be more personal?)The holes people are digging to justify this nonsense are just getting bigger and bigger.

Whether Ling likes it or not the car should not have been on there in the first place as said simply because it was not available. Whether it's a joke or not you will get some numpty trying to apply for it (oh wait!). I really do like having a laugh but putting it on the site just wasn't at all funny.

Oh yes **SAFESPEED** are an absolute rabble of lunatic, white, male, middle-aged, "experts" and psychopaths who's sole aim is to prove they can exceed the speed limits safely and they are the world's best drivers. One of them used to be a Police driver. Apparently. It's the BNP and EDL of driving "skills". Pedantic ex-teachers, the odd university professor and loads of buffoons who have been given 3 points for speeding and consider it the legal injustice of the century. They think speed limits are fascist symbols of the devil.
I say "just slow down a bit" to them, or "relax, chill and drive a bit slower" and they go off it, losing all touch with reality.
Absolute nutters and extreme mentalists. SAFESPEED.
Don't go there.
Ling
There's an amusing element that rings true in that. You do seem like you're the BNP and EDL of the car hire world though.I say "just slow down a bit" to them, or "relax, chill and drive a bit slower" and they go off it, losing all touch with reality.

Why is she advertising a Delorean then telling the ASA that new Deloreans aren't available, when they actually are?http://www.deloreanclub.co.uk/dmch/default.htm
I can't see the point in any of this, other than a business trying to get visits to their website.

Go and buy one now. Do it now. In the UK. Now. Do it now. Now. Is it available now? In the UK now? Right now? If so then you have a point and you should complain to ASA. If not then please leave me in peace to enjoy a fun time thread.http://www.deloreanclub.co.uk/dmch/default.htm

At least it's new stuff, and not the same question that's been asked a dozen times before.
Ling's English beats my Mandarin.
Regarding the stool chart, I was asked by a GP what my stools were like once and I didn't know what he was on about.
She's started her own business and is employing people. Surely that's a good thing?

1) They look like perfectly good sentences to me
2) If you'd checked the story you link to you'd see the company in question is doing what all small car companies do - you can't buy the cars, they're hoping there will be enough interest to let them borrow the money to make them http://delorean.com/sales/
As an aside I thought leasing websites weren't 'selling' the lease - rather they were touting for quotes, so I would never have expected that every deal on every website is always available, so a simple 'I can't source that' after an enquiry and everything would be ok.

Ah yes, excellent answer. You really must have excelled at school.
How astute, you are correct, I have generally excelled in my academic studies As for topics and posters being abusive, there is nothing in this thread that is out of the ordinary on that score.
Spam? Is there anyone on the web who doesn't know what Ling does already? Besides Ling is a colourful character who is quite entertaining.
