Forgot this thing existed till the other day. There's a few for sale on PH but never seen one in person. I guess the Fiesta ST is winning this battle.
I couldn't say if I've seen one for sure, they look so similar to the standard Clio that I struggle to tell the difference.Cockey said:
I seen one of these in Baku last year, the chap was selling fish from the boot, literally fish thrown into the boot of the car, it stank to high heaven and still passes as one of the most disgusting things I've seen with my own eyes. The car wasn't much better either tbh

I like that, and with the A4 being the size of small African country these days, I can see the point of it.
Yeah, apparantly this new A3 sedan is of the same dimensions as the original A4!It may just be me though, I think the CLA45 is just as weird looking...

Funny you mention that, I saw a blue one of them yesterday. I did wonder what it was! Veeayt said:
There wasn't such car as S4 Plus, there was S4 V8 ('91-94), S6 V8 ('95-97) and then S6 Plus ('96-97) with 326hp slightly detuned S8 32V engine, of which 97 were saloons and 855 estates
No, the first S4 4.2 V8 didn't arrive until March 2003 with the B6 variant. They only made B6s for about 21 months before the B7 superseded it. It was also a 4.2 V8 and was produced until mid 2008. The next variant, the B8, was a 3-litre V6 and they haven't produced a V8 S4 since.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_S4
I have a late 2004 V8 S4 Avant with a Milltek system and a Revotech Stage 2.
I don't think the car pictured is a V8, despite the badge ...

Well, technically the first S4 was called Audi 100 S4 and it wasn't just a trim option, due to pretty serious engineering effort put in it. It had two engine options - 2.2, generally identical to that of RS2, and a powertrain (4.2 ABH engine and six-speed or 4auto ZF's) directly inherited from later Audi V8's. The later S6 shared the same 2.2 and 5 or 6 speed gearbox with the first S4, and a slightly tuned (up 10PS) 4.2 engine with modified gearbox (added radiator). I am lucky enough to own one, albeit slightly different from initial facts and figures. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_S4

The car in initial question, the S6 Plus, even had unique WIN numbers of Quattro gmbh, not the Audi usuals beginning with WAUZZZ****, and was hand-built in Neckarsulm. At the time it cost more than a top range Audi A8. The next and last Quattro gmbh model not to share its WINs with generic Audis was B5 RS4. There was a pretty good reason for it - many official dealers refused to service these as they were officially not Audis, and the RS and its Cosworth lump and chassis shared very little with normal 2.7 turbos found in lesser Audis.
All V8 C4's were not available in the UK, hence why perhaps you missed that. And B6 V8's were sold in huge numbers in US and continental. Although I do believe there was a trim option to make your 2.2 look like a Plus in the UK in 1997, which included two paint options (RSblau and Zermatt Zilber) and 17' Plus wheels.
