Very interesting! Koenigsegg founder breaks (non official) non disclosure, using an unhappy owners comments to show the Agera X in a positive way, so the owner spills the full beans.
The founder even had to buy the Agera back off the customer to keep him silent about how terrible the car and customer experience was!
You don't get this treatment from Bugatti!

"I can't speak for Koenigseggs personally as i haven't been around them that long, but it has always irked me why are they almost non-existent in Saudi Arabia (and the Middle East as a whole) which is the biggest market for these cars. I live in a pretty small city and we have like 10 Veyrons here so after all the hype it was always disappointing to see the lack of interest people had in the product."
Dad owns an oil field or 12If you see the words in RED BOLD, they are the words that BC edited on the posts, the Koneigsegg guy posted on the forum that BC was totally happy with the car etc when infact he was not, hence the edit.
They refunded him to shut him up but then had the indecency to actually go further than that and make a public statement that BC supported them totally etc. Hence the truth coming out.

I'm not sure what Koenigsegg can say to redeem themselves on this subject. They were incredibly late with the delivery of the car - this was a known by many long before the car was revealed at the Quail gathering as there was quite a bit of promotion done for the car by BC during the order and build. Basically it took forever, just like he explained.
Koenigsegg continually made promises about the status of their approvals and waivers with the US regulators that simply aren't in line with the facts. When you're selling a high dollar automobile to a US customer you better make sure it can come off the plane and be delivered without a bunch of nonsense.
Even once the car did arrive in the USA it was not finished and BC was not able to take possession of it. Looking at the first detail shot from Jason it is clear the car had quality issues that as I said were 'inexcusable'.
BC has every right to be mad over this and has been living up to his end of the exit agreement to keep quiet about what really happened for months now. The Koenigsegg representatives that chose to tell his side of the story on a forum where he is a known contributor made a huge mistake there.
This wasn't BC's first trip into the world of supercars and Koenigsegg as a company and the Agera as a product simply didn't live up to the reputation they have worked so hard to cultivate for all these years. I knew BC was keeping quiet about what happened with his Agera - I figured it was mostly paperwork issues as our government can be pretty lame so I didn't consider that completely Koenigsegg's fault - our red tape for vehicle importation is not simple. Now that the whole story is coming to the surface I am really glad that it's no longer being suppressed. There are a number of people in a position to buy a car like this that will want to have this information too. I'm certainly not a customer myself but my impression of Koenigsegg and specifically CVK has taken a big hit with all of this.
