What I like most about the video is Chris's descriptions of how each of them drive while on the laps of Anglesey. He does a great job of conveying his thoughts to us IMO. All of them look to be quite a handful when trying to push them to get a good time. And that 'corkscrew style' part of the track looks good fun! biggrin

It's been said by many but that GTR (MF) ( motherfker?) is just stupidly quick, as mentioned a f1 car does 0-100 in 4 secs and that's doing it 1.7 secs slower, given full slicks it would probably keep up with the back of the gid on race day. It's obscenely quick, scary to think they are out there on the road being driven by people..... Who have money.....

I'm a big Porsche fan and I love the 911 but I'd take the R8 here...

Why ? Because of the V10 and the fact its not got a Turbo - Turbo's are being put on everything and its starting to bore me...

That V10 just sounds amazing..

That GT-R is crazy fast, quicker than a McLaren F1 to 60 & 100 is still no mean feet!

As a 911 owner I would go for the Audi I have always loved the , great video as well.

OK, now watched at home on a computer with sound. I rather enjoyed that and want an R8 of my own more than ever laugh

Apologies to the fellow I wrongly corrected on Bruntingthorpe/Anglesey earlier. I A colleague was watching it on his PC as I walked past (he has sound, I don't) and I recognised Brunters.

No it wouldn't! I've heard it all now GTR claimed to be as fast an F1 car, they do 0-124mph in less than 4 secs and 186mph in around 8 secs BTW.

An f1 car has about 3 times the power to weight ratio of that tuned GTR.

But you're not being serious, are you????

LOL.Any GTR would be lapped by the slowest F1 car on an average circuit within three laps!

That was the stage 5,

Stage 6 will produce 750 - 1000bhp >>>>> 0-100 mph in sub 5 seconds possibly??

What amazes me is that Nissan have a 3.8lt engine producing over 200bhp/lt in this thing, yet my only experience of Nissan main dealers has been their inability to fix the simple 2.5lt diesel engine in my wifes pathfinder.

Would I trust Nissan dealer with trying to fix one of these...would I bo!!ox.

PS Nice Vid Chris!!!
You don't just rock up to any old Nissan Dealer to get your GT-R serviced, they have High Performance Centres that have specialist technicians who have been trained to look after the GT-R.

What a fantastic video. Brilliantly driven and excellent filming! I'd love to have those driving skills and put any one of those cars to the test. I have an E46 M3 with 300 and something horses which at times scares me silly with its pace, what must double that feel like in the GTR? The mind boggles.

cracking vid on levels but you've got to applaud the man's profound driving skill to demonstrate so well all the cars' abilities....much respect ...last time I was firmly reminded of my own driving limitations was being taken out by a now Indy race driver(remain nameless) in a variety of P1 exotica...very humbling and still provokes my grinning inanely on every recollection...

So the GT-R is by far the fastest, the cheapest including the mods, looks evil, made Chris Harris go white on the track and rearranged his organs. Yet because the R8 is German and makes a cute noise when you put the launch control on, it gets his nod. And we also have to have the I won't let the Porshe go comment about there being yet another new old Porsche.

Come on Chris.

The r8 is more fun that's why ,going very fast does not necessarily equate to having fun.having owned 2 of those cars and driven the 3rd extensively he is spot on IMO.

Sorry I only meant off the start line until the first braking point which would be about 200 meters before the f1 car braked. I was thinking more about the way it launches to 100mph....

I suspect it would be from the start line to about 50m down the track. The only reason that F1 cars are so (relatively) slow off the line is that they lack traction being RWD and gaining no aerodynamic downforce at such low speeds. Once they can put all their power down, the GTR would look like a Daewoo Matiz.
