What a great advert for Jaguar, right until the moment they showed how hideous the modern car is compared to the classics...vomitsmile

So jealous....

Also very jealous!
So much so that I hope he's served a particularly underwhelming bottle of Barolo this evening!
Lucky chap!

I'm in Italy to follow the competition. Brescia was great yesterday - I did not realise Chris was driving. Woke up too late to get to the start in Ferrara today but have based myself in Maranello to catch them coming back tomorrow.

BTW - weather was absolutely awful!

I too watched it through Vicenza last night!!

And, its not just rain, it is a 50 year flood....apparently!!

Big hats off to the Gullwing driver who got it sideways coming out of the Square last night with the door open!

Awesome!!

I too can vouch for the absolute downpour that was Brescia yesterday. Off today further south to catch them on the return leg on Saturday just outside Pogliobonsi (sp?).

Green S-type with PH stickers, if anyone's about.

It's worth having a look at the entry list. Surprising number of Germans in vintage Bentleys. No Brits in SSK Mercedes though. And Daniel Day-Lewis navigating for someone!

And then coming to think of it that I had to miss out on doing this in my Elise a few years ago...

Hope you're having fun out there Chris.

Looks like a barrel of very expensive laughs. Especially as Jaaaag are returning and cranking up the connection between past and present.

Does Mr Harris even and in anyway ever support the UK car industry?

Looking forard to pictures and the rest of it.
Industry should be supported on merit. The UK car industry quite rightly went down the toilet a few years back because the product was mainly ste.

As has been mentioned. I'd wager harris supports any manufacturer that makes good cars.

Could Harris be having an epiphany?

Could he finally be realising that a good classic can give massively more enjoyment than any modern piece of fluff and without the need to drive at 9 leptons beyond warp speed to feel involved?

When he then realises that a good classic can make money rather than lose it, maybe we will lose him to Octane magazine or Classic and Sportscar? wink

My favourite has to be the Italians in a P4 Rover 75, they obviously realise that Britain made the best sporting saloons in the fifties!

Lucky you, Mr Harris. I've followed the revival Mille Miglia twice, just as an ordinary spectator and can endorse that this event should be on every petrolheads' bucket list. Enjoy, & let's be having those reports..
