As I posted before I don't mind private plate at all however, I saw this today and can now see why some private plates can make you look a bellend.

Someone has too much 'imagine'

Oh dear. I bet it's a 2.0 TDI as well. The massive torque must twist the chassis!

Wow there really is some venom for some of the plates eh.

Just out of interest does my plate really offend anyone?

Nice looking Alpina B3, wearing a B3 plate which is legally spaced, etc smile

Nothing wrong with that IMO smile

Perfect plate - it is legal and relevant. Nothing to hate there.

If that gets up someone's nose, that person's not worth worrying about. Personally I think it looks great (not chavvy like the illegally-spaced, misrepresented rubbish)! smile

Just my 2¢, but I've always thought they are completely embarrassing and ostentatious. I love it when somebody with a high end sports car (who could easily pay for the A1 BAZ or whatever) just rocks the standard DVLA plate.
^^^ This. They are all a bit sad, no matter how much they cost.

Some of us do it because we have a mental age of 10 smile ... and it amuses me no end to think the they'll get to process it when I finally get a ticket in this car. Haters can hate, it amuses me which is why I bought it ...

Opss Off confused Or are you trying, and failing, to say O ps off rolleyes

If that's the case it would appear your own quoted mental age of 10 is incorrect and should be set much lower as even a 10 year old knows that the word Piss has an I in it getmecoat

Edited because apparently my own spelling age this evening must be crap as there aren't 2 e's in the word set hehegetmecoat

I hate private plates, but that ones quite funny.

However, the joke wears thin quite quickly and I would worry that it could insite vandalism.

I have a discreet private plate on my car which shows my date of birth and intials. It means nothing to anyone other than me, I like the registration, I think it's attractive, it's correctly spaced and legal.

Plates where people have tried to doctor the number to look like something else are a bit cringeworthy then again it's personal preference. I don't understand why people get so bitter and twisted about it like our friend above.

Why do you "hate" a bit of plastic?
