Fantastic video, Chris.

I know you've driven one before, but if you ever fancy driving a Rocket again (very much in the same vein as the Morgan and Caterham - it's all about the connection), drop me a PM. I'd happily let you drive mine.

Cheers

I have a Supersport R kit on order - due to arrive in 3 weeks time. This video makes me very happy indeed.

Love the Morgan too.

More proof that Chris is the best uk auto journalist.

Always wanted a caterham and recently did a driver training day in two of them, makes me want to sell my m3 as even the 1.6 k series was in another world. Just a raw, pure experience.

One of your best videos so far, Mr H.

Enjoyed it immensely.

Damn you - I want a Morgan 3 wheeler. I've done the Caterham thing. Fun at lower speeds is most interesting to me. Sometimes quiet welsh-style roads just are'nt possible. The little Morgan is perfect for lower speed hooning. Anything where 70mph feels like 700mph, has got to be a good thing.

Cracking video as ever Chris.

Test drove a M3W lasT year and loved it. Even though it was raining , you couldn't help but smile like a Cheshire cat smile

That said, in my garage I have a 10 year old Caterham R300, which I adore. You're video sums up the experience owning this type of car, perfectly

Everyone should own one of these cars at some point in their life. Life's too short without one !

Great vid! Those two are both nutters seen with a modern eye - which makes them even better :-)

Wonder if that new Caterham has been approved for the danish market...

P.S. Could you guys at PH Towers look into publishing your Youtube clips with the maximize button? As it is, you have to click over to Youtube to watch them fullscreen.

I´m sitting in the office, outside there is terrible rain and it´s not looking better for a few more days.
Then i watched your video and almost scream "Stop the rain, i want to go to garage and take my Seven for a ride".

This video is one of the best. Sure because it´s about cars i love, but mostly because the fun you´re having is spouting out of the screen and every word you say should be carved to a stone.

Thanks,Chris. Keep the fun to the maximum.

Genuinely not trolling here, but am I the only person who doesn't particularly enjoy Caterhams?

I've driven them a fair bit (5 Palmersport days, plus 2 full trackdays, plus probably 2000 road miles), and although they're hugely fast & responsive, and handle like a dream, I have absolutely no desire to own one. I suppose I don't get a great deal of pleasure from driving them, whereas an E30 M3 - slower, heavier, worse in just about any quantifiable way - gives me far more of a buzz. In the same way, I suppose, that I had far more fun nailing my old Honda Bros round Mallory 15 seconds a lap slower than on an R1.

I've not driven the Morgan, but I have no doubt that of the two cars in Chris' video it'd be the one that I'd choose to drive if anything other than lap times was used to measure enjoyment.

I don't know what it is about the Morgan but ever since seeing an original one in The Party (filmed sometime in the 60's, starring Peter Sellers - who was in the proper Pink Panther films - just in case anyone under 25 was wondering), I have wanted one. The 'reboot' model just takes it to another level of Want. cool

What an utterly brilliant video. Well done to all involved, beautiful photography, great editing and just a pleasure to hear Chris spout pure joy about two fantastic machines.

The speech about what the Morgan represents was particularly poignant.

More like this please!

Oh and Chris, it must be about time you finished your motorbike licence? Get it done, so you can enjoy yet another hit of pure automotive amphetamine.

This video ( for me ) is off the scale ! Sitting here at home with a miserable "summer" flu bug, viewing this video has made me feel so happy ! Chris really understands and loves all that's great about motoring, and has no embarrassment about telling the world, a pure joy ! Thank you.

I made all the excuses then 4 years ago bought an old Crossflow Caterham - even though it sits on my drive in London (no garage).

Love it - even went to the 2010 Classic Le Mans in it (2 up with camping gear!)
