I avoid any car that has been misbadged to the positive and has "NO MORE DREAMERS!" written in the advert...

Just a slight update on a car i bought of ebay which was broken.

Having spent 600 on fault finding i have now snapped the manifold to turbo bolt in half so thrown the towel in. it was a very interesting journey but i will now look for something else once it is sold, for me bangernomics is costing me about 2 k a year down the drain but i still do it smile

yikes!

Does it need a new turbo? I've been known to bring knackered old Audis back from the dead and probably need another project hehe

Axle stands! Worth it as a back-up!

Nice to see another 220TE (page229) don't see too many of those as they were only made for 1 year. Not to be confused with the E220. It looks lovely by the way. And if as good as described is a bargain. Well done. Quite low miles too if correct. Mine is still going strong at 220,000 miles. I would check the condition of the loom though as they do tend to biodegrade in the car.Lots of info on the web if it does start to break up. Good luck and enjoy.

Lovely. I drove CDG's w124 estate and it made me appreciate the feeling that an open back w124 has over the 4 door - range rover-esque and a very pleasant place to be.

I don't believe the "no rust" though![/quot

Oa.....mine has no rust, so it is possible ,but I agree its not the norm.

Yeah those bolts are a bh - my A6 still had the old nut-on-stud arrangement which has been deprecated in favour of the M10x50 bolts.

Gonna be pretty hard to get to the remains of the snapped bolt to remove it too, not much access down there!

You need to be more consistent.

Above you'd spent £600, now you've spent £700.

The ad says 9mths MOT but not tax but then the sellers notes says 11mths tax.
