Back to window shopping.

Does this look good? Or better when it's a private sale?

That has popped up on a few threads, hideous black trim but if the autobox is fine, suspension doesn't clunk (much) and it doesn't overheat I can think of much worse ways to spend £850 smile

That's at least 3 tanks of petrol, right?

How bad can they be? I actually really like the look of them. Seats look comfy.

My estate costs me about £80 to fill from the light to full.

I get around 200 miles to a tank just purely driving around town (especially in this cold weather!) or on a decent steady run, I can double that to 400 miles to a tank. They hate stop start town stuff, but on a run, are very good smile

Can't really argue with that smile

How comfortable are they? Is there much in the way of wind noise?

These cars are great load luggers, with good performance and fantastic seats. There are things to look out for on the Aero (to do with confirming use of synthetic oil I think) but they are fantastic VFM. Plenty of information out there if you're interested.

Good, slightly left-field choice of car I reckon.

Still tempted...

at that price? have it, superb cars with a great deal of online support and info. Mine cost that and has 200k on the clock, one previous owner, paint like new interior immaculate, fsh, self levelling halogens, HK sound, rain sensitive wipers, memory seats, etc, etc. Can be mapped for £80 too

Still tempted...

can't get up there for a couple of days, so may well be a moot point.

I'm inclined to agree with you - apparently its had a new clutch and a load of bushes to get through mot as well.

put down a deposit, I know Saabs and this looks to be a cared for car, see the bonnet badge? they usually end up buggered but this is good, the spoiler is clear of scrapes, seat bolsters tidy etc, it'll always sell on if you don't like it

Been fking with my £70 Matiz trying to make it work enough to sell it on - it's fking fked and no amount of tinkering seems to resolve that.

Going to bounce it off the limiter everywhere I go until it blows up / the MOT runs out and then scrap it. Meh.
