On a serious note I am liking this 145 cloverleaf with recent cambelt change for £800

I love these and was thinking about them the other day. Used to sell them new and they are great hot hatches and that engine is a peach. Tempted with that one......thank God I have a private plate to go in it though wink

Looks like that has had paint - look closely at where the front wing meets the sill...

And nice mould(?) on the seats in the last pic. Probably stood for aaaaaaaaaaages and smartened up with a lick of paint to sell it.

The hilariously multi-coloured GTV has been on sale for anywhere between 400 and 750 for months on Facebook groups, ebay etc. and hasn't shifted yet.

In his defence he does state: "TAKEN AS PART EX-DRIVES BUT IT IS A WRECK, HONEST"

lol.

Presumably as scrap the catalytic converter would (assuming it's not been gutted) still be worthwhile as it would still have the "precious" metal inside it, even if it's no longer properly functioning as a catalyst?

I did chuckle at:

"FROM A GUY WHO SAID IT HAD HAD 1 CAREFUL OWNER ALTHOUGH WE ARE NOT TOO SURE WHEN THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN BASED ON IT'S CURRENT CONDITION."

SUV/MPV and stylish never go together, especially at under £1000 IMO. Unless you want retro cool? An old merc or volvo with rear facing seats?

Can you not get a Citroen Picasso for this price?

Edit: Realised these are 5 seater. What about a C8 or 807?

1) Decide what your actual budget is

2) Tell the missus to not get her hopes up

1) Decide what your actual budget is

2) Tell the missus to not get her hopes up
3) decide how far you are willing to travel to buy

4) put budget and distance into ebay classified sales

5) sort through the dross and (try to) find stuff with few owners / service history / sellers who can spell

6) go see with cash in pocket

7) buy.

sounds looked after, certainly different, could be ok if you like that sort of thing. Not for me though
